As a foreigner, what really blew my mind is the unlimited soft cream inside the Internet Cafes. It’s like $5 in McDonalds in Canada so for $11, to stay overnight, the sift cream alone was worth it. This doesn’t even include the unlimited drinks which are way more than just soft drinks

Thanks for sharing this man. Im not homeless anymore, but a few years ago I would've given anything to be in a place where you have internet and a place to sleep for $12. That's crazy. Here in the US, when I was traveling from west coast to east coast, you couldn't find anything under $50...and even those were sketchy and dangerous. Japan seems to be pretty kind to poorer people. I was homeless in 2022/23. I slept in parking garages, outside churches, in the woods, and park benches. I’ll never forget the dread I felt when I stepped outside my final hotel stay knowing I’d be sleeping in the streets. I would’ve appreciated something like this at that time.

@@lacey892 I live in Flint Michigan and the crack motel on Dort Hwy is now $75 a month! No deals, if you book the whole week... They know who their clientele is...Poor people that get government cash assistance and drug and human traffickers. If you're facing the possibility of being homeless in Genesee county...Good luck. There are programs but not one's that are going to help and definitely not for men. The few places there are, are glorified half-way houses and good luck not getting your belongings stolen and you only get to sleep there and then get out! No chance for peace or collecting yourself...just get back on the streets and get a job! That's the mentality of a lot. Churches obviously help but Idk if they ever do "housing" in that sense - they definitely feed the homeless, everyday in my old neighborhood despite it being a glorified 3rd world ghetto.

It's always astonishing that some Japanese urban areas look vast but almost empty. Usually circumstances like economic depression, war zones etc. lead to urban areas looking vast and empty, but Japan is different. Everything looks highly modern, organized, clean and orderly. I guess people in these places have their time planned out to maximum efficiency, and don't crowd up public areas if it's not for a specific purpose. Very interesting country, and very interesting video.

The climb to 100K is happening!!! Congrats. Keep up the great "Slice of life" content. I love seeing real life side of Japan. I hope you consider a campervan (once you make enough money). I don't know if RV parks are normal in Japan (like in US). But I have lived in an RV since 2016. They have everything you need. You can add a mount on back for the moped you are getting. And of course you can still skateboard (but when you want to). Remember that it does not get easier to do stuff as we grow old. But a campervan would solve a lot of the problems of being homeless while still earning an income. Especially when it is really bad weather.

The sad part is for the modern man it is very much a solution you can't imagine how lonely being a man in 2024 is you really can't it's devastating I work on an oil rig farmer rig specifically where there is almost no security Ive lost count of how many times I've died to go home alone with that nobody to tell nobody to care it takes a toll id kill for something like this at least I could have the sounds of others to sleep to not just alone in my trailer...

Skateboard is great transport there. Its flat ground. Remember to add extra salt in your diet when you drink a lot of water. Electrolytes very important with water intake. Stay safe.

Not true. There are nice internet cafes in NYC, and LA. And no drug addicts do not go to these, in fact they are used as Hostels by low cost tourists from overseas that want to visit the states on low incomes. And they are just as nice.

@@SniffHeinkelread my comment. There are nice ones in LA and NYC that are primarily used as Hostels. In fact one of the ones in NYC is owned and run by a company that owns and runs internet cafes in Japan, and no drug addicts do not go to these. What you see and read in right wing media is mostly not true. There are drug addicts in every country. In NYC for instance the drug addicts actually go to City run shelters, and shelters made specifically for drug addicts and are connected to programs that help get people off of drugs and working. Cant stand ignorant people like you that spread bullshit.

@@k29king1 I've never been to LA or New York. If that is true, it's encouraging. I know most business owners would be hesitant to run a place like that for fear of addicts coming in to shoot up. I wish they had places like that when I was homeless in Washington State.

A new sugar being used called Tagatose could replace sucrose if you also added some monk fruit extract you could make it so you used less and it (in a test tube it has, maybe not in people tho) anti cancer properties, anti inflammatory which is more important for your heart we found than cholesterol, also if you don’t brush teeth, a specific bacteria turns gram negative and this form of the bacteria is going through the blood stream damaging the artery walls and the inside of your heart, Japanese scientist found this recently, I wish I could make and sell products, I could make a cola which tastes the same but is healthy for you instead of bad, and if I can, so can they, and sucrose can be used for fuel also fermenting opioids so medicines without growing poppy fields, why everything is still unhealthy makes me sad, it could be cheap and healthy but we make stuff expensive and bad for you.

At an internet cafe late at night, snacking and watching Hokuto no ken, reading some manga, we are brothers you and I, subscribed. Spent a night at a Internet Cafe while traveling Japan. Love that country, hope to visit again in future. The traveling alone enjoying the beautiful country side was probably some of the best parts of my trip. The amazing manga libraries and shops hidden throughout japan were the best surprises. The 24 hours manga store/games store/mtg card store was probably the best find ever. Had to skip some of the video because im working. Will watch the full thing tonight. Good luck, my man!
