I’ve never seen sourdough bread with chocolate chips! Now I can’t forget about it so I’ll have to make it. Looked so good, and the first loaf your family ate right up so it must have been good! Enjoyed the family meal time, and smiled at Nic putting his special topping of Doritos on his meal. My husband always has all these extras he adds. Sauces, spices, croutons, chips…

I just adore you, Lynette! You’re so positive and have such a gentle demeanor. Don’t feel bad about the bread. I’ve been baking bread since I was 12 years old, and I’m going to be 70 in a few weeks. I tried a new method/recipe, and it was an epic fail. I cried and cried. Every time I tried it, it failed miserably. It wasn’t soft inside. I kept having to throw it all out. I thought I couldn’t even make bread anymore! Then I tried another recipe-Potato Bread-and it is glorious. It’s soft and fluffy on the inside, with a little crispness to the crust. So delish-I CAN still bake bread-yay! You’ll figure out that sourdough. I have faith in you. 😘❤

Hi Lynette..loved the video. The bread looks like it turned out the second time. 🤗. The family seemed to love the first batch as well. I know the feeling of trying something new then it "flop" especially when you try so hard. I love seeing the kiddos so happy. Harper is walking so well..Oaklyn was full of joy!! The boys are big helpers..and your husband made me laugh while trying the bread. At first you don't succeed..keep trying. I love the music in the video as well. Thanks for sharing your day with us..brought me some joy as I have been fighting an upper respiratory virus for almost five weeks now. Was able to get some things done today and I PTL for that. Yes ! I love seeing the family pull together also after dinner to clean up. You know there were (5) children in my family and we all had a chore after dinner! One cleared the table, one washed dishes, one dryer dishes, one put them away and one cleaned the stove and counters and it was rotated daily. Mom always cooked. You don't see or hear much of this anymore. Oh! Your bread looked delicious, but I have to say the second loaf look wise did seem better! Have a blessed day! 🙏🤍❤️🤗

Oh Girl! I literally laughed out loud along with you and Nick! When I first made my sourdough it looked like a frisbee… It was sooo bad! It comes with the the territory! I’ve tried so many recipes and you’ll get there! I’ve been watching you for years and hope to join you soon in Sarasota area… Our property on Sanibel was blown away by Ian, but we hope to try again in Florida… Our land in Sanibel sits undecided. I know the last big storm like this was Charlie in the 80’s but with the insurance cap etc it’s a big ask to rebuild on most of our own dime…. And I was less in love with the island over the years regardless. I fell in love with the border islands in the 2015ish time frame, when it was still not super commercial and still a little old school…. I hope to find the atmosphere I love on the gulf coast still. May God Bless and Keep You All!

I don’t know if you’re interested in bread that isn’t sour dough, but there’s a book call Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day that shows how you can make bread really easily. The bread tastes great and the dough can sit in the fridge for several days and develop flavor. You can divide the dough as well so that you can bake fresh bread each day. You make a four pound batch of dough and cut off one pound each day to bake or you can bake half of it one day and the other half in a day or two. There’s no kneading, just stirring the ingredients together and letting it rise.

I see she's walking now and she's so cute waving at us 💖 Is the sour dough starter similar to the regular one that the Amish are noted for cause I have that recipe but haven't made it for years.Boy it looks like the kids are really having a lot of fun in the pool. It looks like its really peaceful there. I've had an EEG and they aren't comfortable for adults either mine was painful. But so happy little Harper is ok. You should be very proud of your attempt with that bread! I don't bake bread because I love it and should not eat it. My husband and 17 year old son would love for me to bake breads. I bake their favorite cookies so that is going to have to suffice. Your kiddos are so cute! Thank you for sharing your day and recipes!
