I love watching you cook with your girls. My sister and I loved cooking with our mother who we lost to cancer when we were teens (with 5 brothers!!) You remind me so much of my mother who not only cooked and baked but also reupholstered our sofa, and chairs. I grew up thinking all mothers must do this “stuff”. Now at 62, I so admire your devotion to family, and the simplicity…thank you!

Hi Lisa, thank you for the video, just a quick note on shrimps- it's better to put them in the last few minutes of cooking, as they tend to become rubbery if you cook them too much. so it's better to make the sauce first, and then in the last 3-4 mites to add the shrimps!

Your channel inspired me so much. I live alone and cook for 1, so I just get one chicken at the beginning of the week. With some vegetables, cream, flour, and milk. Through out the week i can have roast, left over chicken with rice, soup and pies etc. You have such a clever way of cooking and using up all the ingredients

Such a good idea on the pizzas, by adding the cheese first and then the sauce, my crust always gets soggy so I’ll have to change that up. As well as adding them to a sheet after being in the skillet for a while to feed a big crowd

I can remember keeping my daughters, when they were tiny, in a carrier called a Snugli and I would have the hardest time frying to cook in a skillet because you have to try to keep the baby back but still have to reach around the baby!…but the baby, which ever one it was, would always be so happy to be snuggled up with mommy. You are an amazing cook when you are having to try to get everybody fed in a reasonable amount of time. Just wait when the numbers start to dwindle and you find how hard it is to cook for fewer people. We had a blended family of 9 children but I rarely had everyone to cook for at one time. I envy you having a house full of family to cook for…you are so lucky.

It’s fun to see the girls cooking with you. I just realized how much your oldest(Ruthie?) looks like you, don’t know why I never saw that before. The vintage dress your other daughter was wearing was so cute on her, it reminded me of the dresses I wore back in the 60s as a little girl. The baby is sweet and seems to enjoy having a front row seat to the action. It looks really hard for you to reach around him, though. Couldn’t you put him on your back and work a lot easier? The food looks amazing and I admire you! Your family is so lucky to get this good food.

Delicious! I am just imaging how tired you get. My kids are all gone, so unless I have company….I cook for myself. It’s not near as fun as having your children around. More relaxing, maybe…..but children give you motivation to cook up some good hearty meals in these colder months.I live way out in Idaho, but would love to come and sit down for anyone of those delicious dinners.! Great video! Thanks!
