Hi Asad, Hope you are good. I am QA engineer but there is lot of misconception that the QA positions may run out and everyone needs to switch to automation. Yes I agree we can enhance our skills and become an automation person but there is no real time project experience as an automation person.Else should it be better to switch the domain? My questions is that having had an experience of 2+ as a Functional QA what is the scope of QA in USA and how much is the expected pay... Please do respond..your inputs will be greatly appreciated☺️ Thank you in advance!

From my experience there is a greater than ever need for QA Engineers right now and yeah I think we should keep up-skilling ourselves with time to keep up with the changing trends and technologies. Developers are always on the lookout for new and improved technologies to improve their workflow and so on. I think its the same with any craft really, everyone needs to improve overtime. Automation is pretty simple to be honest, you don't need to be an expert programmer but if you want to keep doing manual testing only then even then you shouldn't have any problems.

When i started off my all jobs were non remote. The. Covid came and everything turned remote so thanks to covid i haven’t been to an office in 3 years. Just look for remote QA roles on linkedin i guess
