Thank you for vlogging! I don't think there are enough professionals out there that vlog regardless of field. I was wondering why you switched lab coats in your video.

🤗🤗🤗 I change lab coats cause I'm going from the regular molecular biology lab (where bacteria is involved) to the tissue culture lab (stem cells & other cancer cell lines). Changing lab coats avoids cross contamination, especially bacterial/fungal/mycobacteria infections in cells we are culturing!

Thank you for your videos, I'm recently planning to go for research assistant job after realizing that hospital jobs may not be for me with a future med lab technician degree. I'm looking forward on these kind of videos. 💕

Do you work after hours like write ups and research. Or do you have fixed hours to work and don’t work after hours ?

it's roughly 9-5 but can be quite flexible depending on how busy I am on the day with experiments

Did you receive a lot of training when you first started this role? Love your videos 💕

thank you! 💖 prior to this job, I had experience in basic tissue culture and molecular biology lab techniques. but ofc I still had training in terms of various protocols to follow and how to use certain equipment! it wasn't a full day/week of training, just being taught new techniques every now and then when they are required.

Before starting work do we need to refer to safety data sheet for risk assessment? It is because during my lesson I learnt about before starting work a lab personnel have to do risk assessment. Does it apply to your work as well?

@2:08 So sad you call the 50ml tubes as Falcon tubes 😭These tubes are the real - one and only - Greiner tubes 😉. But, great video.

Good. But it's better to not apply white text on a white background
