Hahaha we actually recently did a company wide audit of all of our meetings so that we can get rid of any that are unnecessary. Even though we’ve been remote working since before the pandemic, we have SO many more meetings now. Definitely something worth recommend to your team too because meeting time takes away from deep work!
@wmhfv9924 жыл бұрын
@@angelzheng We started No-Meeting Fridays fairly recently! :) The problem is... it's only my department, and the company I work for is about 7,000 employees strong. So not the easiest. Buuuuut I have set up strict Desk-Time only blocks each week! I just wish the rest of my dept/team would adopt that. When you have meetings all day, it feels like no actual work ever gets done.

Hey Angel! I've been watching your videos for a long while now and I'm actually thinking of doing a masters in marketing in Canada. Your videos have been so inspirational and helpful in me getting to this decision! Would you recommend I do MBA and then specialise in marketing or do a direct marketing masters program?
@angelzheng4 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! Wonder if anyone here has gone for their masters here and has some insight? I have never been much of an academic and I believe that you can have an amazing career in Marketing without a Masters (or bachelor’s degree even). But if that’s the path that you want to take that’s great! Just make sure you’re spending time in a internship/coop program as well so you’re getting work experience as well!
@alinakalo3804 жыл бұрын
I would suggest doing a Masters i guess since MBA’s are for people that have more than 5 years of experience 🤔 or at least that’s how it is in Europe. MBA’s are pretty wide, meanwhile doing a Master’s you can get more in depth in one specific subject (like international marketing, or like branding or market entry etc..)
@katiejanz4 жыл бұрын
In the US, specialized marketing programs are harder to find than MBA with a focus in marketing. It’ll ultimately depend on what your end goal will be and what you want to do with the degree. MBA will give a wider focus with the ability to hold multiple hats, while a marketing focused Masters is going to be more in-depth to marketing specifically. It really depends on your end goal and what you want to do with your degree. From what I’ve been told, smaller companies may want a variety of skills, while a larger company is more likely to want you to have a focus and “stay in your lane” aka just marketing.

No offence and I don’t mean to be rude but the constant tossing and flipping of your hair is so distracting and annoying to watch. Please get a scrunchy and tie up your hair. Other than that the video was really interesting.
