Worried that my choice wont be my passion in the end. While you were on the grindstone did you ever have doubts of the career field you chose?

Thank you! I wasn't doubtful per se, but sometimes I wondered if I will be okay, usually during the weeks when I sleep an average of 3 hours per day lol I was a bit bored in the first 2 years of my undergrad because classes were still not really astronautics related, but once I started taking space systems, rocket propulsion etc.. I knew that's what I wanted to do :)

What makes me sad about aerospace engineering is its job prospects,for a non US citizen like us.So I am turning my major towards computer science eventhough I always loved aircrafts,spacecrafts since my childhood.😑😑

I think it depends on the university. At ASU, we had a class called Engineering Profession where we learned a little about engineering management. Unfortunately, that was about all the exposure we got. If you really want to study engineering management there's actually a major that's called engineering management, it's less engineering and more management though...

I am confused about what to choose, the Mechanical department, or the Systems Engineering Department. maybe you could help? I have an injury that prevents me from walking too much. Is this an issue for a space systems engineer? I’m studying to be one already but I’m worried the injury will be an issue.

Erick Zamora not at all! Unless you’re a technician, you don’t really have to walk a lot. It is illegal for companies to decide not to hire someone because of a physical limitation! In my company, in non COVID times, most of the walking is done going from my desk to a meeting room (which you can call in to), to the clean room and to the bathroom lol I actually got on the treadmill every day because I didn’t walk enough lol so you’ll be fine!

I unfortunately don’t know about the potentials of aerospace engineering in Morocco. If you really wanna pursue this, I’d recommend you do your research and see what available opportunities there are in Morocco. If you find nothing, then I recommend you study in Europe.

Can a non-US citizen receive the same opportunity as you did, to get a job offer in the space industry after obtaining a Master's degree in aerospace engineering? How did you get the offer?

It really depends on where you are. Optimally, you would want to get a US-citizenship as security clearance is a big thing when it comes to the Aerospace industry and Defense companies. There is other opportunities outside of the US like the ESA, or India's Aerospace Administration, or China's. The issue is the industries in these other places are much smaller and probably relegated to only government entities.

Danny Tjokrosetio unfortunately, most aerospace related companies require US citizenships. I am a US citizen so that was not an issue for me (which I got last year). I believe that some companies hire residents for non classified work. So if you have a green card, you can probably get a job in some companies 😊

Danny Tjokrosetio research is possible but a job would be virtually impossible in the space domain. Canada I believe is much easier to get permanent residence and you can work on space projects quicker

I'm not sure what you mean by "easy". It's a process and you have to fit the right circumstance to get citizenship. I'm using a Lenovo Yoga and it's been pretty good for me :)
