@phillystevesteak69824 жыл бұрын
Not true. At all. It's typical for a Japanese worker or student to focus on their responsibilities 15+ hours a day (at maximum effort). Which is why many Japanese people get drunk every night. Because they need to let loose. And also explains why they have the second highest suicide rate in the world. Many can't handle the pressure. It is an incredibly overworked culture. Which has both positives and negatives.

@Susuya Juuzou I agree, I regret ever taking their stupid classes! I thought it would benefit me. I eventually found out that all your paying for is for the acknowledgement that you graduated from that college or University. They don't even help you. They tell you what to do and you just turn it in or present it. Then you get your score and done. I almost forgot, you take the test and get a score. Its truly not worth what you pay. You pay 20k a year just so they can tell you do this and turn it in a month from now. Its like telling someone, I will teach you how to hunt. Then they tell you, go learn how to make a weapon. Also go learn how to find a good hunting area. Don't forget, go learn how to track animal. Lastly, go learn how to butcher them. They tell you what you need to learn but don't actually teach.

The few books I had to buy occasionally totaled to an average of 25 euro per semester for my study branches. @@hugius1269 Native English speaker here, I've been learning Japanese for about 2 years now. I would say it's about on par with college-level physics in terms of difficulty. The part I find most challenging is how kanji can be pronounced entirely differently depending on context. With the latin alphabet, I can generally assume that a character has 1 or maybe a few, at most, pronunciations. There are many layers to the Japanese language that someone coming from an English (or more broadly Germanic language family) speaking environment find difficult, but not impossible, to understand.

I think even the Japanese will appreciate this university. Even I, a Japanese, think it's wonderful. I'm writing English with Google Translate, so it might be strange, sorry

I think the key to achieving a life like this is to not deviate. His day was very scheduled down to the hour. If you want that life where things don't vary on a whim, then you can deep dive and execute at a higher level when it comes to the time you give yourself to study, have a social life and sleep. In the west, we want people to have the freedom to make decisions on the day without feeling like they are making mistakes. We encourage the chance for young people to experiment and be curious about things outside of their main interests. In this video, you can see that a uni student is already setting up their job before they graduate, so they are picked up by a company and they go straight into being salarymen. It's not like this in the west. If you appreciate being able to have more time to decide on what you want to do in your life, then Japan is not the culture for you.

I think all of this is going to affect us a lot. I mean, no one will feel like coughing in public, or drink from their friends' glass, also we will all be more careful about hygiene (wash our hands in the restaurant in cases where we generally wouldn't have).Even when everything will be over

@@FrameByFrame96 well not always. Japanese culture and many asian cultures pride themselves on being prompt and not being absent so it would be more unlikely that a japanese student would willfully skip classes
