as an introvert who didn't move for uni i simply would not be thriving/surviving if i had to live with someone i didn't know (or worse, don't like) AND be expected to be social AND productive on top of it! feels like there's always the idea that if you don't live in dorms you're not doing university "right" and you're missing out on something, but that really isn't it esp if what you're "missing" isn't something you'd want in the first place

100%. People (specifically Americans) romanticize independence from their parents and crave it the MINUTE they hit 18. I feel like more people hate dorming than love it, but don't speak up too much about it since dorming is this "fundamental" part of the "college experience."

Great video as always. Valid points about staying at home for uni. I think that’s how it is in the majority of the world. I am one of those students who travelled over 14,000 km to attend Uni in the US, so I had to dorm my freshman year lol. Also, the turtleneck gave off Steve Jobs/Elizabeth Holmes/Liz Lemon vibes and I liked it. I have been commuting sort of from my flat in Koreatown to SC for almost three years and it’s such a hassle with the traffic and parking. LA is super expensive!

yeah the area in Ktwon and SC aren't the best from what I recall living there when I was a little fetus (traffic, safety, parking). I'm so thankful I go to university near my home so I don't have to deal with the hassle of finding a place to stay in this crazy expensive city. I solute you trooper 🫡

Vlog was fire 🔥 Dorm life is not it: they are prison sized and mold infested. The dining hall food also regularly poisons people😊

Prison-sized is diabolical 😭😭

Idk why people hate on public transit in LA, its reliable! I mean you have some mentally ill people here and there but low chances of violence. Also UCLA is such a pretty campus. Show us your fav studying spots!

I agree. I've used the LA transit system since I was in middle school, and it always got me to where I needed to go (school, my friends homes, stores). To be fair though, I have had some... interesting encounters on the metro (a man flashed me his meat then proceeded to beat it with me next to him 😐)

3 best jobs for introverts 1) medical examiner/pathologist, 2) actuary, 3) pharmacist. Study to become one of these at your wonderful university

Unfortunately, I was not gifted with being good in anything math or science-related, so those jobs would be off-limits. But thank you for your sister suggestions!

LOL it's cuz we started school late September. UCLA runs on a quarter system so they start a lot later than most schools.
