Salaam love! I just wanted to say, the first video I saw of yours was your first week of med school. I was pre-med at the time, which is now like 6-7 years ago? life happened, quit school for ages, and officially going back as a Nursing student next month. lo & behold, this video of yours pops up in my recommended. i feel genuine joy seeing that you got through med school and are here on the other side, difficult/stresssful as it may be. you probably didn't expect to ever be in this era of your life, nor did i in mine, but i guess what i'm tryna say is we're so far from where we came, and the next time we look back it'll be even further. Alhamdulillah for everything so far and inshaAllah for whatever's to come. just know that just through this channel, you've directly inspired and indirectly supported me and countless others. Thank you so much for sharing your real life experience. I feel like your videos have really helped me feel less alone when times are tough... you're one of the only people who shows the real experience rather than sugar coating or acting like everything's always perfect. Could you do a video talking more about how you apply for jobs as an attending? Like who do you even talk to? I will be finishing next year and feel really overwhelmed/lost by that process.

There is no reason why God doesn't think you deserve the best! I truly believe that He is doing everything possible behind the scenes for your perfect job to line up for you. As long as you're doing your part and actually searching and praying then your dream job will fall into your hands and you'll have to pinch yourself because it'll be THAT amazing. I know it's easier said than done but try to enjoy this time off with your husband since this will probably be the only time in your life that you're job hunting and he's in residency! God knows how hard you worked and you deserve all that you desire in a job!!! I just want to give you a hug

girl i remembered when you were struggling with a module at school, was it GIT? omg you are an attendant now. so happy for you, you accomplished so much, now rest and have a me time and enjoy life. you still have a whole life ahead of you. I just finished medical school and didn't apply for residency and looking for a job, I sleep a lot lol, kind of love it.

Maha, I literally just went through a similar "waiting phase" in my life. And I can completely understand how hard it is to "enjoy" life when your future path seems so uncertain and you are unsure of what is to come. All I would say is that utilize this time to strengthen your relationship with Allah, and try to stay busy, lol. Know that this time will end eventually, but not on your terms, rather when Allah deems it best. It's all a matter of trusting God, focusing on the positives and being kind to yourself throughout this whole process. It isn't easy, so no need to feel guilty about your state of mind. Thank you for sharing your journey and I pray that your waiting period ends soon iA, just like mine did. Sending lots of love and prayers your way.

Hi Maha, I love your channel. I've watched since your first week of medical school (lol, i think you were shopping for makeup but on a budget since you were a med student 😂). Anywho, i remember you shared this story about wearing a headscarf and how people may treat you differently. I remember you said something like, "im from philly. Ask me about the Jets"... lol. They just dont know you love football. ❤ Sending you all of the good vibes during this next chapter of life. The right job will come along (sometimes it is just a matter of timing). Hi Maha! I've been a viewer for a while and love your videos. You are so honest and authentic. What helps me in these types of circumstances is refraining my mind from things happening "to me" to things happening "for me". I remind myself that things do not happen by accident but are intentionally directed. I can make mistakes and feel like I am spiraling but I remind myself that faith is a cornerstone. I will make it through. I also try to get back into a routine. I want to be as anchored to things that ground me as possible physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually (think PIES). I think getting into a good routine of eating well, exercising, reading/stimulating your mind, and grounding yourself in whatever spiritual practice helps you will make you feel more centered and rooted in self. I hope you are encouraged and are having a great day when you read this! Can't wait to hear about when you get the job :)

When I saw the title of your video , I burst out laughing bc I am in the same position😬just got done with IM residency , living in a major city. The job I signed is not organized well enough . They told me they need my board certification for insurance enrollment which they didn’t told me initially. As you know our boards comes out in October. Just trusting the Lord that His plans are perfect even though I don’t have much clarity right now. You got this Maha. It will all be alright
