So in case you were wondering, Scar was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease at age 18 that has weakened his muscles and permanently confined him to a wheelchair. It’s also weakened his diaphragm and makes it hard to breathe, which is why he uses external oxygen. I think it’s pretty cool that he’s found a successful career that has made him into a success and brings people enjoyment! Although in my opinion he deserves like four times as many subscribers... Another great thing is that his disability doesn’t make people feel sympathy, but respect. Love you Scar! (And your snail house too!)

I think he lives in his parents house (I saw it in a comment once, so I could be wrong). I’ve been in a wheelchair even since I was 7 and people have always told me that I can’t do anything that I’m useless in a wheelchair, I’ve found ways to cheer myself up but never really that much. Seeing you, who’s someone I love watching doing all these things makes me feel like maybe I can reach my goals one day. Even if you never see this, I just wanted to give a big thanks. Edit 2 years later: So I’ve come back to this video after 2 years to see this comment! Thanks for all the support, I’m doing good at the moment. I do feel bad however, reading this comment back it feels like I was just fishing for pity or something. Seeing all the comments have definitely helped me get through things, but I don’t think I should be taking up space in the comments, I don’t want to dwell, I want to move on. Every time I'm sad, having a bad day or generally feeling down, I watch this video. This could well be my favourite video on KZbin because something about Scar's demeanour, his outlook on life and, of course, his beautiful, genuine positivity that is more contagious than the flu gives me this cosy, wholesome feeling and this video really emphasises that. My dad has lime disease and caused nerve damage throughout the left side of his body. He is in crutches and wheelchairs. At first the doctors didn’t diagnose him with anything. But after 6 years they finally did. It was to late to fix at that point so he resorted to alcohol. My parents fought and for divorced. He now is 2 years sober and plays Minecraft and Clash of Clans daily with me. I’ve tried to get him to stream but he says he just doesn’t want to. I respect his decision and I respect you! I also have T1D. I have had it since I was 2 and I am now 12 so it’s all I really know. T1D in my opinion is one of the most irritating disabilities to have, but I also wish scar the best of luck moving forward and hope he’s ok.

Honestly we struggle with so much on top of having to constantly micro manage our health it’s nice to do something and feel it has purpose. As a disabled person who feels guilt due to financial situation and abilities, I feel being responsible for something other than yourself really helps.

Scar is the jolliest and most positive KZbinr I have ever seen. And that jolliness is escalated a lot vy the fact he is disabled, but instead of asking for us to pity him or feel bad for him, he uses his disability to show us how even disabled people can have fun lives and be successful. Hey I know this is 3+ years late but just wanted to say that it is awesome that your grandpa cared so much about you and was able to express that by making the model/figurine of your avatar... there is something special about grandpas. My grandpa passed away this year and although he didn't show his affection through models or crafting, this reminded me of him and his love and attention for myself and my cousins growing up. I'll probably be a part-time wheelchair user in the next few years and probably full time a while after that and though I have other disabled friends, it's really, really cool to see how you get about and it helps me feel more comfortable with what the future will bring me. It was hard for me to start using a cane since I was really self-conscious about it and had a lot of internalized ableism but it's people like you that made me feel less afraid about it. Thank you so much for everything and for making me laugh, especially on the days where I'm in a lot of pain or really tired! You're amazing (and I WISH I was as good at minecraft as you :D )

My cousin also had this disease and he passed away almost 2 years ago shortly after turning 22. We were almost like siblings and his death did take a toll on me. I was almost like a shadow after he passed away and it took a long time for me to recover. I had recently got into watching hermitcraft then I started watching scar. I didn't know about scar's illness and when I found out. I couldn't bare watching him not because he was disabled but because he reminded so much of my cousin. It took some time but now I'm ok with watching scar although I end up crying sometimes when I watch scars vlogs, he reminds me too much of my cousin So I hope your cousin gets better and gets to live her life to the fullest ❤️
