August - November 1974. Then A and HHC 1/509 APRIL 1993-MAY 1995. We had to go all the way to Alex for jumps except for rotary wing and the AN -2 Colt biplane.

Forgot to mention how much Fort Polk sucks for an assignment. Right up there with Fort Leonard Wood 😂

Served there from beginning of 90 to modern 94 and loved it. Every place is what you make of it.

Where did you end up getting assigned in the 509th? You're going to love it there, I'm jealous and I wish I could do it all over again. So many little nifty things you can't really do at a standard posting. One way or another, do your absolute damndest to get in on the An-2 Colt jumps. 2nd Pl. B Co. 98-99.
