Hi , great video, I have a few questions with regards to the self taught route. So I have learned Html, css and javascript. I can solve logic problems but I struggle to "program". Can you give advise with regards to how I can like learn how to make projects from scratch.

Hi @gevecht, thanks! It’s all about the practice, so keep trying and start from small simple projects. What is the main problem are you struggling with when you try to make projects from scratch?

Hey 👋 It doesn’t make sense to learn just for learning. After all, you do it to get a job and earn money. So I recommend you focus on searching for a job as fast as possible, cause only there you will start practicing and getting production experience. And if you need any other fields during your work, you can always learn more 👌

would you say it's possible to work as a full stack or backend software engineer remotely to international companies without visas from that specific country (being a good developer and speaking fluent english)?
@AshAsoyan
@AshAsoyan 6 ай бұрын
Hey bro! It mainly depends on the country you live in and the country you're gonna search for a job. Finding a full-time job in the US could be challenging, but there is always a way to find project work through freelance platforms like Upwork, TopTal, etc. If we talk about top companies like Google, Meta, Amazon, etc., it will depend on concrete position, but most of the roles will require you to move to their office location, City/Country.

Hi mate! I wonder why you use 2 kits of keyboard and mouse/touchpad ?
@AshAsoyan
@AshAsoyan 6 ай бұрын
Hey mate! Thanks for the question 😉 Logitech keyboard and mouse are connected to my PC. But I work on a MacBook (you can see it on the left) since I'm an iOS developer. So, I need an additional keyboard and a touchpad to connect to my Macbook. In theory, I could use the same mouse cause it has a wireless connection, but for programming, I prefer a touchpad. It's more convenient for me to use it while typing cause I don't need to move my hand far away to use the mouse in cases when I need to scroll something or switch pages.

Everyone is focused on coding in comments, first of all good job on the video, my question is how do you manage to stay motivated? Im full stack dev atm, pursuing software engineer job, but I'm more often than not losing my focus around the house. Feels like I cant just sit and work, or study, im easily distracted I would say. I do finish all my tasks but it feels like I waste too much time if that makes sense

Hey bro! It's a great question, thanks for it! Actually, I watched a few videos about this on the weekend. It's a big topic. Let me know if you want a video about this, but the main point is that it's how your brain hardware works. And unfortunately, there is no way to change it. You are alright, you do not lack willpower. And most people 2 of 3 are the same, and I'm one of them. If you have this in quick access, you will constantly be distracted by something. If you want to focus, one of the strategies is to create a kind of environment around you to exclude all possible distractions like your phone. Don't feel guilty about your distraction, bro, and try to improve your environment!

You have a point, now that i think of it, and as I watch your video, 2nd monitor could be part of the problem, I just cant sit in front of PC without having something like tv show running in a background, ill have to think about this topic a lot more, also video of your thoughts would be great. I mean as you said, willpower is not the issue, at the end of the day I'm getting everything done, I'm never late, but I think I can be much more efficient@@AshAsoyan

The fact that you finish all the work despite the distractions says more about your responsibility, not willpower. As I previously mentioned, focusing on work without an instant reward is challenging for people like us cause of the brain hardware. So the best way for us to be more productive is to try to exclude all possible distractions around us 😉 I will record a video about this, and I think it could be beneficial to understand how this mechanism works instead of using short-term motivational pumping.

Hi Ash. nice video. I don't know why I feel at ease watching a working day of other programmers. I noticed your laptop stand in this video. would you mind telling me which one that is?

What should I do to learn coding with intrest
@AshAsoyan
@AshAsoyan 6 ай бұрын
Hey mate! It's hard to answer without an additional context cause I don't know your situation. If we talk in general, I recommend you focus on the field of programming that interests you most. Also, don't forget that learning something new is always challenging, and it's normal that your brain doesn't like it and prefers some more enjoyable things. Try to set some small daily goals, like learning programming for 1 hour straight, and don't be distracted by anything else during this hour. You can focus for 1 hour, even if you don't like it. And after one month, you will have 30+ hours of learned programming behind your back!

In that case, I recommend focusing only on one field and choosing between Backend and Frontend. After you master it and start working as a programmer - you can always begin to learn the second field to become a full-stack developer if you still want to.
