Wow cool, is it easy to get a job in Taiwan if you have a BS and a tefl certificate?

I have the same TEFL and I know some countries won't accept it. Has it been a problem?

Hi there, Even with a TEFL certification, countries have other requirements that prospective English teachers need to meet in order to teach, and these vary from country to country. Did you get TEFL certified with us at International TEFL Academy? If not, you do need to be careful and make sure that your TEFL certification is accredited and internationally recognized.

It's from international Open Academy, most people teaching for VIPkid had it. I know it's not too good.

Hi Rachel, what's the story with teaching English in Taiwan at the moment? Is life normal?
@luke46384 жыл бұрын
Exactly the same except you wear a mask to teach and so do the students.

Don’t need a tell, but it helps or at least gives you higher pay. I’m teaching there too

It's always a good idea to have at least a little bit of training in TESOL/TEFL/TESL if you want to teach non-native speakers. It covers a lot of things that can help you give successful and effective lessons along the way, including lesson planning, classroom management, approaches/methods to teach a 2nd or foreign language, evaluating students' learning, activities, and many more.

Ouh my favorite age!! What sorta credentials did you need for that?

Really interesting and informative video, minus the very loud traffic noise and awkward, mid-sentence cuts. Not to be rude it just made things a bit harder to follow!

I was wondering how often you see black American teachers. In years past I heard that is rather hard to get a job teaching there if you are black.

It’s only hard for certain countries. Taiwan, China, South Korea, and Thailand hire teachers from everywhere, but they do prefer white ppl first.

Do you know if all schools there require masks? Wearing a mask is a bad idea for 2 reasons when teaching kindergarteners. First, children that young respond to facial affect and need that for development. Second, they need to see how words are formed when learning to speak language. Also, masks don't really provide much protection from such a small virus.
@willmorrissey76634 жыл бұрын
They stop most transmission of the virus so they are important.

@@willmorrissey7663 That's propaganda. Point me to the studies that show masks stop a virus because I can show you dozens that show masks DO NOTHING.

@@WMDG3 When you cough or sneeze, droplets shoot out of you like a canon and can infect other people with the virus. Masks reduce that by a whole lot. Just wear them, lmao.
