@@Skibbityboo0580 Same here honestly. It seems lately though that one can never be “liberal” enough anymore. I grew up believing the whole point was to let people live their lives how they see fit so long as they aren’t bothering others. I guess that isn’t what it means anymore these days. I enjoy being a stay at home mother and wife while my husband works and that works for our family. I did try the whole empowered working female thing but I was never happy and I was burnt out all the time. University ended up being a waste of time and money for me because I didn’t get my dream job. I didn’t feel empowered. But being a mother and wife made me feel fulfilled and happy. I don’t necessarily subscribe to being a tradwife myself but I don’t hate the life style either. Though I’ve been weirdly told I’m oppressing myself and somehow oppressing other women by choosing my own path to walk that brings me happiness. That doesn’t quite seem right. Not to mention implies that women aren’t a good judge of character. I firmly believe that by hating and/or rejecting men we also indirectly hate women because we cannot be separated from men. Women fall in love and marry men or we give birth to them so whether we like it or not women are and always will be directly interconnected with men.

I'm a dude, and I used to stay at home and take care of my disabled brother. it was stressful at times, but the amount of love that I had in my heart and fulfillment I got from just giving him a hot bowl of food and seeing my brother happy was worth it. And it's not just being at home, even if you are working for your family, the act of selflessness is fulfillment. We were meant to live for someone outside of ourselves. That's what gives life fullness. Our culture of selfishness has only led us to lives of isolation and sadness. It's not the way to go. Your career isn't going to be embracing you on your deathbed. Your employer isn't going to be sitting with you through the rain when tough times come. But family can be that. We were made for family and community. So please stop all this nonsense of career being the first priority. It's simply not true!!

Im a Trad Wife. I treat my hubby like a King and he treats me like his Queen. Men really do like being taken care of. He shows his appreciation of my efforts by flowers, cards, back rubs, and small presents. When our son was little and money was tight, he took a second part time job so i could be at home with our son. Been married 35 years. Hes my best friend, we do everything together, still makes me laugh and makes my heart skip a beat. God has blessed me.

i am a young woman, i do not intend to be a housewife, nor does my partner wish for me to be a housewife, but i just came to say that i love and admire and respect what you do. a lot of people bash modern tradwives and stay-at-home mothers because it's "romanticizing abuse" or some other bullcrap, but in all honesty, it only matters if you're happy, and your family's happy. from what i can see, it seems like both you and your husband love each other and you find genuine joy in the roles you assume and really, thats all that matters is that it works out for you! it may not be the case for everyone, including me, but i'm happy if you're happy and i will never judge someone else about the life they choose to pursue as long as it makes them happy. you go girl! ❤❤

@vascobranco5296 Жыл бұрын
@@joebriggs5781This is not trying to impose anything, it's just showing the other side of being a woman. Unlike feminism that literally enforces the idea that to a woman be strong and independent it must put her carrer above family.
@joebriggs5781
@joebriggs5781 Жыл бұрын
@@vascobranco5296 There is an extreme side to that, sure, like there is for any movement. Things are also different now also though. Most families can't even afford to go single income with a housewife even if they wanted to. Divorce rates are also high, I would be weary of not having an established career if I faced divorce and had to fend for myself, even with a couple or more years with spousal support. It's hard to establish a career as a single parent. I just don't think it's nearly as simple as some people make it out to be. There's a reason why it is mostly the older generations that lecture the younger about how they should go this traditional route. It's not as feasible anymore. Also, a lot of people are turning it into "career before family" when both can go in conjunction. There are plenty of families that are successful with both parents working. It's pretty much the majority of America now anyway.
@vascobranco5296
@vascobranco5296 Жыл бұрын
@@joebriggs5781 1- The "extreme side" is not within feminism, but between different types of feminism. Feminism in the West is extremist and even toxic compared with feminism in Iran for example. 2- The idea that today you need 2 people in a family to be working in order to sustain themselves is exactly why traditional families are needed. It's disturbing to know that my grandparents were able to not only sustain themselves but also their 7 kids with only my grandpa working, but I have to strugle with my partner to barely sustain ourselves. For this, I'm all for it to bring back the idea of a traditional family. 3- Most of the people I see that are showing and promoting the idea of a traditional lifestyle (this youtuber included) are not old, in fact, they're all relatively young, in their 20s and 30s. 4- Most of divorces and abuses in a relationship comes from "modern families", where marrige cames later than in traditional families and where both partners in that relationship are currently in the job market. There is no doubt that there are cases where carrer and family can work together, but it's not the most usual, and in the end, family must always have priority over carrer. An example would be my parents, where they both work but the moment me and my sister were born, my mom quick her job to take care of us.
@joebriggs5781
@joebriggs5781 Жыл бұрын
@@vascobranco5296 what you’re saying makes no sense though. On one hand you are acknowledging the reality that most families need to have both parents working for financial sustainability, and on the other you’re saying the wife should quit her job. What does “bringing back the idea of a traditional family” even mean if it’s not financially viable? Just saying that is not going to pay your bills for your family and build a nest egg in case anything happens to you. This is the real world. I’m basing my opinion on reality whereas it feels like you’re basing yours on an ideology.

The only reason why people have a problem with how others choose to live their lives harmoniously, really is because they are insecure and jealous of those who know themselves well; those who know their own values and what they want in life... whereas the haters, they are always gonna hate, until they learn to love and accept themselves.

Thank you for making homemaking look like the beautiful career that it is. I hope you have started a trend. All I ever really wanted to be was a homemaker and a mom, actually a grandma, but you have to be a mom before you can be a grandma. I grew up with a stay at home mom and most my friends did too. But anytime someone would ask what I wanted to be I would say a teacher, which was true but not really. It makes me so sad that young women and girls are thought negatively if they say “a mom and wife” when asked what do they want to be. I try to teach my own girls to be proud to have that desire and own it because it really is the best job ever! Oh, and I am a teacher now too! I homeschool my kids, and teaching them is the most rewarding career I could ever dream of. It’s hard but I get to watch them grow and learn almost every step of the way. When they start reading is an amazing accomplishment I wish more moms could feel.

i am a trad wife and i love it. my mom is a trad wife, my mother in law is a trad wife. I worked for the first 5 years of our marriage as a nurse practitioner, we lived off my salary and saved my husbands salary, he's a lawyer. We bought our 3000 SQ foot home home with a 40% down payment so our mortgage is low. Now we are having children and i stay at home, something we planned before we married. My husbands salary can more then provide for us, we both were raised with trad wife moms and we love our life. What i notice is most women that complain about trad wives are single, pink haired women who can't get a man and pretend they are happy...

I have been tuning in to see the Tradwife life as a new trend compared to I guess what would be the more typical feminist-based role women choose these days whether they are in a relationship or not. I must say, the only "shocking" aspect to what your videos show to me is that this seems to be a thing? I guess I married a Tradwife from the get-go then. 👍 My wife does all of the things you show and talk about every day. House cleaning, home-cooked meals for our family, decorating for the seasons around the house, candles, etc... and she substitute teaches when she can or wants to. I just always thought of this as a typical husband-wife relationship, and it's what we agreed how we would define our roles when we got married. It's been 23 years, but this is what I was raised as to what marriage is supposed to be; my wife as well. I love that you are making these videos. Keep making them! We need more of this in America! Hey ladies, the best and most difficult, but rewarding job you could ever have is being a wife and mother, running your home and raising healthy, confident children, with a hard-working, supportive husband who has your back 100% and loves and appreciates you. It's a job that pays the dividends of a strong family when you are older and get to see your grandkids, not have to raise them.

Consider starting a dating site for men and women who embrace traditional values. Men would certainly be willing to pay a premium to connect with high value women like this and you'd be helping to get more people living out traditional values. As a trad wife for 19 years with 3 kids, I think that it is very difficult but very rewarding at the same time to be a trad wife/ SAHM although you will be judged and looked down upon by most people. But I learned that trad wives should still take the time to educate themselves and apply themselves in other ways outside the home for mental stability, making friends and also as something to fall back on once the kids are older and/or if something happens with the husband and he is no longer there. You should take care of not only your family but also of yourself and your future. Most women do all of that, but additionally kids and work for money. You have the privilege to be able to focus on one field in the life, while many others don't . I dreamt of being a housewife recently, (and I was before for 8 years, have 3 kids), but in today's world it's almost a privilege. You have enough time for all that, so you can focus well. But you know, when kids come, you also, even not working outside home, will experience lack of sleep, lack of time for everything you're doing now. Unless you have a really helpful husband, parents or in laws somewhere near.
