What an awesome video! I could totally relate to your comments after afternoon practice: immediately after finishing the practice “that was hard”. Up on deck for a few minutes “that wasn’t too bad”. We are suckers for punishment as we keep coming back but we know that the only way to get better is through hard work. Hope the rest of the training camp went well. Go Bears from Sweden!

Most realistic meals in a day in the life vlog that I’ve seen aha. Most guys post themselves eating a small bowl of cereal and then two meals for the whole day. And I’m thinking there’s no way that they’re able to maintain their weight eating that little while working out so much

This is really inspiring stuff. I just got into swimming more seriously this week, so its great to learn how elite athletes like yourself train (I used to sprint track in school 100m/200m). Interestingly I noticed just how uniquely adapted the elite swimmers body shape is as well with a longer torso and shorter legs. Myself I am 5'8" but have the leg inseam of someone who's 6'1" (32.5 inches) i.e. the complete opposite of the long torso body shape. It will be interesting to see how my body adapts over the next 2 years of swimming consistently! thanks for your content Kyle!!

@jimmyjohns19983 жыл бұрын
Hey Kyle, I'm a real fan of the channel and a regular viewer. I have a question with my freestyle stroke, my 100 free time is 1:02 long course which I think should be quicker and my team mates are beating me whilst being around the same age (even though I am smaller atm). I regularly get beaten during pull sets and I feel that I'm falling behind a bit in races in general. I can do 15 pullups so I have reasonable strength. I feel that I have a Early Vertical Forearm and feel that I have a reasonable technique. What do u think I need to improve on? I know it's a bit hard to pinpoint but just any tips would really help thanks. I'm 14 btw
@sepatnil79933 жыл бұрын
you can cut a lot of time by bettering your kicks under water, and by breathing less. Also ask your coach to maybe film you swimming freestyle so that you can have a look together with your coach on your stroke both over and under the surface. This is just some things i did to improve my time, espicially trying to lower the amount you breath + not breathing the first stroke after your turn is going to cut you some time.
@sebastianwindt88833 жыл бұрын
@jimmy johns I can relate :) don’t give up the dream :)

Nothing helps more than swimming, especially racing itself. Race as often as you can. Maybe challenge your friends to race after practice. It's helped me drop 4 seconds on my 100 breast this season(went from 1:16-1:12).
@KyleMillis3 жыл бұрын
Great question! I might be able to help with that in a future video where I help answer questions
@Velleder2 жыл бұрын
@@sepatnil7993 I disagree, I think breathing is very important for your muscles during a 100 free and you should get as much oxygen as you can especially in the first 50. Although to get faster you need to regulate your breathing and make it as smooth and efficient as possible to go with your stroke rhythm. You also shouldn’t breath off your breakout stroke.
