My kittens used to jump on my stove too. I wasn’t home one day and my dad wasn’t paying attention and one of my kittens jumped on the hot stove and burned his paw. My dad didn’t tell me til two days later. I was very upset cuz the poor baby was probably in pain.

Try foil on the counters. Cats dont like the sound and they slip off when they try and jump off. (use some packing tape so it doesnt ruin them) dont give up is my #1 tip. reinforce HARD. Be vigilant. If you let them do it once they will never not do it again.

I’ve heard that the reason cats do things while you’re not around is because when you spray them they don’t associate the spray with what they’re doing, they’re associating it with you. I’m pretty sure they have air sprayers with motion sensors you can put on your counter so that it will spray any time they do it so it’s not associated with you. A lot of their bad behaviors go away when they get older though
