Don’t worry too much about social interaction for snow. My sister and I were really attached to my mom who only worked one day a week growing up. My sister only really started interacting when she went to pre school. My mom became the “room mom” for her class and took me with her. I was two years younger. Now I’m grateful to have the closeness with my mom and still have that relationship today in my 20s ♥️

I love how u give her affirmations every morning! I try to tell my 12mo lil granddaughter all the time that she's smart, funny, caring, loving, any and everything else besides her being cute and beautiful bc I tell her that all the time and I think the other stuff is just as important!

Hopefuly a helpful parenting tip....i used to let my kids draw and paint in their highchair so that way they cant get pen all over your furniture/carpets etc. They can learn and play but are fairly contained and most highchairs have a lot of plastic so easily washed down afterwards x

It is awesome that you have her coloring at this age. Many parents don't recognize the importance of exposing children to "writing" in their everyday lives even when its not formal writing or drawing. The scribbling is a form of "pre-writing" and it is very good for development to be encouraged like she is by you guys at her young age!
@ericapaquette57874 жыл бұрын
I’m a toddler teacher and the kids love coloring and painting, I recommend tapping the paper to the table and chubby crayons are the best ! Or even make your own chubby crayon by melting different colors together, also for my toddler at home I got him a mat off of amazon and the markers that come with it is just water so he can’t color anywhere else but the mat which is great for us moms lol

Omg so sorry to hear about Travis's dry/cracked/bleeding hands, I can relate! Is it almost like eczema but not?) I used to have this chronically and a guy I was working with one day noticed and said he also used to have the same problem until he cut out gluten and it went away so I cut out gluten to see if it works and a few months later it was completely gone! And now I can wash my hands without stinging them. The only thing that can slightly irritate them now is my gold rings but nothing like what the gluten does. Hope it helps!

I've been feeling the same guilt! Frustrated that I cant take my 11 month old daughter out to the playground, swim lessons, etc. Its been even more challenging than usual to keep her stimulated. Feel ya, Sister. Its hurting my heart, too. We made paints out of yogurt and food coloring yesterday. I put a drop sheet down and a poster board, gave her a paint brush and let her go at it. We were both covered in yogurt within minutes. 💙 Hang in there.

Aww you could tell Snow was trying so hard to kick that ball lol. My youngest was about that age when we noticed that she was using her left hand more often. We would place crayons or a spoon in her right hand. She would try to use them and then instantly switch them over to her left hand. She is 3 now and is definitely left handed. Funny enough she's the only person in our family that is left handed besides my husband's grandfather. Crayola makes some crayons for toddlers. They're really big in the shape of an egg and they can just palm them since they don't quite have pen control yet. Snow would absolutely love them. You should also invest in some color wonder markers. They only work on certain paper so you don't have to worry about them coloring all over everything.

Something that would be really fun for Snow is to face time friends or family who have children close to her age. The Montessori my daughter goes to have their own website that posts videos and photos of the kids but right now we are in full lock down so Montessori is shut but the teachers had the idea of posting videos and photos from home so the kids can see their teachers and friends still. There's talk of doing video calls so everyone can do story time and see their friends etc. I think you are doing an amazing job, it can be so hard at times like these. I have a 14yr old and a 3yr at home and I'm on my own so no help, no breaks and honestly it's tough. I love my kids and I'm glad to be able to be home with them both but the only time I have to myself is when my daughter goes to bed and I'm always so tired by then that I don't do anything besides watch tv/a movie/youtube. It's been difficult to figure out things to do together seeing as there is that big age gap and although my son is doing amazing by helping me out and spending time with his sister it's hard for him to do things she likes seeing as he is 14 and she is 3 but we are making it work. We still have a minimum of 3 weeks to go before our government decides to lift the full lock down to a self isolation for most but still precautions being taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
