I’ve been on TPN for 7yrs now (I live in the uk), I was on NJ feeds for a while but with intestinal Failure our stomach and bowel don’t absorb any food/nutrition etc. & I went down to 5 stone & was when my intestinal Failure team at St Mark’s Hospital told me the news I would be on TPN for life as NJ/Peg feeds aren’t working for me. It was a fought ride at the beginning as being connected to TPN and just dealing with TPN as a whole was not easy to adjust to, however I now owe my life to TPN, my Hickman line is my lifeline & im so thankful for TPN as I wouldn’t be here today with TPN. I am always here for you if you need to talk or rant. Massive hugs and get well wishes to you.

So sorry about college and TPN. 😢 I hope you will feel better with better nutrition. You have done your absolute best, but your body just needs extra help right now. You can get through this! 💙

DarkBlue Matter what’s TPN?
@cadburyegg62826 жыл бұрын
@@briannawilson671 Total Parental Nutrition. It's basically IV nutrition for those who are struggling being fed by mouth and adequately through the digestive track. Supposed to help with weight gain in those cases as well.

I know what it’s like to have your health hold you back, I have POTS and MCAS as well and I have HSD so they’re going to test me for EDS, and it SUCKS. My heart breaks for you on one hand, but at the same time I know you’re going to start to feel noticeably better on TPN once your body has the fuel it needs and I cannot wait to see you start to feel better!

You are lucky, in the US if you are well enough to have day leave they just discharge you. Insurance just doesn't allow it. As for the icky food, my hospital has on demand menu and it's pretty good.

Please try not to stress over things that you cannot control. Take each day as it comes. You have a loving family and friends who will support you during this and all life throws your way. Get your health sorted and the rest will call into place. Find peace within.

As much as I can tell you don’t want to have to withdraw from college, I do think you need to go ahead and just focus on your health for awhile. Once you’re doing better, school will be there. No matter how long it takes you to gain weight, school will be there. And so will we!!! We are all rooting for you Amy!!!

So sorry that you have to might have to stop/postpone college. That is a really hard decision. The only good thing is you have got to take care of your health, that is so much more inportant. Plead take care of yourself and listen to your doctors.

You should be able to do a medical withdrawal. I’ve had to do that a few times and it sucks. It happens. Main thing is you’ve got to take care of yourself. Just remember that there’s plenty of time for school. It’s never too late! Just take it one day at a time and try not to be hard on yourself. You are strong and I have no doubt you will finish school when the time is right! Take care of yourself luv! I hope you’ll be home soon!

Hey Amy. I'm so sorry it's not going your way right now. I can relate. It's frustrating and upsetting to be held back so much. Your body really needs the nutrition though. You'll achieve your course eventually. Just trust it's happening for a reason, if you can. Much love

Hang on in there, once you start to get nutrition you’ll feel so much better. Your mineral balance will stabilise and you won’t get burned by the infusions anymore. I didn’t finish uni but I found it easy to get jobs, I think your personality is just as important as qualifications and yours is A++! It’s taken me about 4 years to save up for a smart drive and I ♥️ it, I can get up slopes that were impossible before. Me pushing myself was putting too much on my shoulders, wrists and hands. (I kept dislocating my thumbs alllll the time!, which was a pain in the... hand!). It’s the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought in my life though. I live in the UK and they don’t supply them, you have to buy them yourself (I wasn’t even allowed an electric wheelchair on the NHS because I have really bad eyesight because of cEDS but the wheelchair man said it didn’t matter). Sending you lots of love from the UK.

I found it interesting that you were able to just leave the medical hospital!?? I've never heard of that. They usually keep you strictly there until you're discharged. You would think if you're ok to be gone, you're ok to be discharged. I know your situation though. I saw all of your videos up to present, so I just went back. Love ya❤️

I'm so sorry to see you struggling again, Amy. I worry for you as if you were my own daughter. It's so strange after just seeing small clips of your life from day to day to feel so burdened for you in my heart. I just pray that you will seek God and find Him and surrender your life to Jesus Christ so that whatever your future holds or doesn't hold, you will be able to have joy and peace in this life, knowing that much better things await you in the next. For you and anyone following your channel who might not know Jesus, please let me share the gospel (the good news) one more time: G - God created us in His image (Genesis 1:27) O - Our sins separate us from God (Romans 3:23) S - Sins cannot be removed by good deeds, but only by our faith in Jesus (Galatians 2:16) P - Paying the price for all sin, Jesus died and rose again (John 3:16) E - Everyone who trusts in Jesus can have eternal life (Romans 10:9) L - Life with Jesus can start now and last forever (John 14:2 -3) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 I love you, Amy. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
