I put ginger extract in the electrolyte fluid I pump into my jej tube of my peg-j.i find taking it daily helps my overall nausea a lot and has massively reduced how much ondansatron I need. I need it pretty strong though so I evaporate the alcohol our before using it, just in case it makes me sick (as alcohol doesn't mix well with my meds). We just need to put the drops in freshly boiled water that's still steaming and once it's stopped steaming and has cooled a lot the alcohol content is almost negligible.

Hey Amy, I’m so glad you posted about driving with seizures and fainting, I’ve been so stressed they’d make me stop driving now that I’ve been diagnosed with pots. Like seriously mourning over it. But I’ve only fainted with like tons of warning and I will just like sit on the floor or lay when I feel it coming, so I don’t just randomly go, so hopefully they’ll let me still drive.

I had a seizure out of nowhere a few years ago...I live in the US and in my state it’s a mandatory 6 months with no driving. It was so hard. You really don’t appreciate the little things until they have been taken away. I did get my driving privileges back in 6 months after my Neuro cleared me! Thank God! Best wishes!! 🙏🏼🌸

OMGoodness!! Thank you for sharing! I know exactly what you mean about the seizure 'weirdness'. I get the smelling of rubber, aura, and I start using the wrong words. I guessed it was due to POTS, and the blood flow. Especially since epilepsy has been ruled out. Keep up the posts! Continue teaching others.

In most countries your license gets suspended for 3-6 months every time you have a seizure for safety purposes. It is not punitive but rather a way to protect the other drivers from getting in an accident with you. Also if you were to get in an accident due to a seizure, all the damage would fall on you and you would be responsible not matter who actually caused the accident and you (or your insurance) would have to pay for everyone involved

I’m hoping u will feel better real soon!! It’s awesome you do get warnings about seizures-my grandmother never did, & had lots of seizures from a very early age-her epilepsy was very treatment resistant-she never was able to drive-although she had periods of over 1 year of being seizure free, she used to say that even if they “let” her drive, she couldn’t ever do it-because she didn’t ever have warning of her seizures. I guess this last “episode” was another reminder to listen to your warnings-as you said, at 11:55, you had ignored your “triggers”-(high heart rate). I for 1 are guilty too of ignoring my triggers/warning signs-I can be a “bull at a gate” when I want to get something done. It is awesome you are getting reviewed, even tho u have heaps of warning of seizures-u never know if something has changed slightly-I’m guessing you may need an EEG to make the authorities happy before you drive again. I’m SO glad ur OK!!!

It's good to see you back...your my kids age but my husband and I like seeing you tackle life with gusto and have been keeping up with for months. You are an inspiration things get you down but you don't let them keep you down. We both work with the youth at church and you posted on instagram a month or so ago something very uplifting and upbeat. Something about not letting your health break you or something. We shared it with the youth sometimes they let little things defeat them and we wanted them to see that there are people out there with bigger problems but aren't broken by them that it's OK to feel defeated and cry but don't let it break you that you can keep going and pushing and learning. They really liked what we shared. Also my puppy loves your voice he hears it and comes running to see the video and listen to you its the funniest thing to watch. Keep pushing on you are inspiring so many. Erika

I have generalised epilepsy which I still don’t understand but I still have my driving lisence and I live in New Zealand but for my epilepsy to play up i wake up in the morning feeling sick and my eyes will flick/roll for breif moments so I go blank which will happen all day long till I go to the hospital by that stage I’ve had a grand mal sezuire and I wake up in hospital it’s not till they give me larazepam to knock it off then I bounce back it’s horrible though the bottom of my teeth are all dead because of it but I’m not ashamed to say I have epilepsy now I’ve had it since I was 9 and I was embarrassed of what ppl thought and being judged for being weird/different but I’m just like everyone else work full time drive and have 2 kids my son has it my daughter doesn’t but anyway I LOVE your videos I find them very enjoyable to watch as I’ve seen a lot being in and out of hospital in my younger years and I’m now 26 hopefully you don’t have any more sezuires they are horrible!

I know this is an older video, but last month I had my first seizure experience. I knew something was happening when it started, just didn’t know what it was. Ambulance took me to ER, I had seizures for eight hours before they could get me stable to get me up to PCU (ICU step down). It was not a good experience from what I remember. Hope it doesn’t happen again.

Tom should make a channel where he has his weird-isms like filming his feet or whatever. Then the creeps can be redirected to that channel. Lol The part where you were trying to talk through your hiccups was making me laugh. That totally makes sense about your ability to drive due to the way you can sense fainting or seizures coming on. When you felt sick, but you try the drops? Did they help at all? Also those glasses you were wearing at the end of the vlog are absolutely adorable on you!!!

I can hear, however, so I know I'm awake. I've been diagnosed with syncope while they figure out what's going on. Any suggestions to speed this along? Which is exactly why you sign a disclaimer that states the hospital isn't responsible or liable for loss or damage of items. They will even lock up valuables for you. It's just not a good idea to bring electronic items into a place like that.
