Day out in Derbyshire

Looking for somewhere to go for the day?
Mam Tor, Castleton and the Caverns are a great day out and there is something in the area for everyone.
Mam Tor is 517m or 1696ft high. It is called the MOTHER HILL because frequent landslips have resulted in many mini hills beneath it. It is also known as the SHIVERING MOUNTAIN due to an unstable shale base.
The A625below i subsided in 1979 and can still be seen in this footage today.
