A positive criticism mate,u turn up all positive regards the session/venue then blank and say I won't be back bcos weed killer maggots etc have fucked the place up and rules etc,maybe it's your angling ability that's the problem- your mate had alovely 30 ...good vid tho👍
@lachojski20054 жыл бұрын
Love watching his vids but I think he’s had a mare with this.anglers catch all the time on there,maybe it was too much pressure with every peg being took up.without knowing 100% what goes in to the lake you can’t just assume because a couple of ppl say so.maybe those couple or few anglers that say maggots have ruined it are strugglig also and needed an excuse.
@markgray5444 жыл бұрын
Every time he blanks he blames something else and moans like fuck. Everytime he catches it’s cos he’s awesome and got everything bang on. I enjoy the vids but fuck me take some responsibility

Unlucky lad as long as you enjoyed yourself that’s what matters Cromwell is a very hard lake to fish even if the weathers perfect you could go for a week and still catch non you would do well to catch 1 fish it’s the reason it’s called the home of the 30s and 40s me and my dad went for 4 days and got nothing he caught an eel and that was it

So had there been a more balanced stocking of fish, silvers as well as carp, the lake would be healthier due to them cleaning up any excess bait? Carp biased lakes and rules seem to be more an issue these days. I've fished for 35yrs now and as carp has become more popular the issues have become greater

this is a big fish water, wont be a easy lake, small traps, spread your bait out, i have always tripped my biggest catches up with tiny traps, yellow wafter with 10 pieces of corn, tiger nut with half a dozen around it, i never fill it in, once its in you carnt take it out, start small

where are you getting your evidence from about putting maggots in a carp water, fantastic winter bait, castors as well, carp love them, maggots are 90% water, will cause no harm what so ever, been part of the food chain for ever, its fish shit that you can smell, fisheries need liming to de silt

Good vid and a nice big girl :-) yeah I agree with the maggots I seen so many lakes destroyed by over use of maggot in the past and then it takes years for them to recover. Tight lines and always good to have mates on the bank :-)

Hi Gareth TOTALLY TOTALLY agree ref maggots, weed, & leaving time...Any chemical in lakes will effect it in some way 100%..The wriggle stinkers should be banned completely..Boilies far more nutrional & carp will put weight on,also weed & naturals brilliant combination for growth & weight..Look forward to Linear vlog..A good honest review WELL DONE FELLA....
@crabbtrixexp5 жыл бұрын
whilst i don't know about amonia and its effect on fisheries and weed growth etc, i think we need to find scientific evidence before jumping to a full conclusion. They are however highly nutritious, a great source of protein and calcium as well, i really don't think carp eating them will become malnourished or unhealthy, unlike boilies they are very similar to some of the foods carp would find naturally, unlike.
@banklifegarethcompton57145 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate very true bang on bud:)
@banklifegarethcompton57145 жыл бұрын
@@crabbtrixexp i no for 100 percent facts its destroyed the botton of swan lake for sure and i know that linear had a big fish kill of nearly 500 carp allmost certainly from maggots to and your wrong maggots have no nutritional value for carp and it does make them lose lots of wait but im not talking about a few pints here and there of couse im talking about the 200 gallons a week that were going in
@crabbtrixexp5 жыл бұрын
Bank Life Gareth Compton in terms of macro nutrients maggots are 35% protein, i personally don’t see how something with that level of protein can cause malnourishment. I would expect an insect grub to have quite a high nutrient content. I honestly have no idea what effect large amounts of maggots have on the lake bed. I did a quick google search on the topic and couldn’t really find anything about it. If your suggestions are true of course fisheries would do well to ban them, but I haven’t found or heard any concrete science on the subject, but I’m not really in touch with exactly what’s going on in the domaine of fisheries these days. Sometimes in the angling world false ideas spread like wildfire with no real factual evidence to back them up, like the idea that fish get high on hemp. I understand your putting this out there out of concern for fish and fisheries, but I’m not entirely sure it’s true, that is only my opinion, I’m certainly no expert on the subject. It would be interesting to know if there’s any evidence or informed opinion from someone like Simon Scott or another fishery manager or farmer. sorry if it seems I’m being critical, of a really good angling blog.
@banklifegarethcompton57145 жыл бұрын
@@crabbtrixexp Its all good bud i like to talk about these things high of hemp lol its is true that maggots do have a level of protein in them but a maggots also 80 percent water and carp pass them so quick with out taking the water bassed protein in thats why there good in cold winter in one end out the next
