Day trip to the Cottonwood Lake area near Buena Vista, Colorado

We took a day trip to the Cottonwood Lake area near Buena Vista, Colorado. We were scouting it out to see if it would be a potential boondocking spot for us. Unfortunately, it did not have any cell signal for ATT, which rules it out for us due to not being able to work. It would also have been a tight fit for our camper unless we paid to dry camp with no hookups at the state campground nearby. We enjoyed the beautiful area and had a good time letting Abbie splash around in the lake and streams but decided to leave the camper set up in Buena Vista.

Boy Abbie sure likes water. I bet if you didn't have her on a leash she would have swam out into the lake. Beautiful place.

As much as she loves splashing around, she sure does put up some resistance when it's bath time.

I guess being in the valley channels a good bit more water through there. It was a nice change of pace for sure!
