Sadream is actually Ample! He played in ASL 15 and 16 where he famously upset Soma in ASL15 but failed to proceed to the Round of 16. In ASL16 he beat Queen/Zero twice in another upset to proceed to Round of 16 where he had an Upset again by eliminating Bisu, but then got eliminated himself by none other than HerO.

I always heard people saying that zerg is so good here because their muta harass is amazing on the natural, and while true, I think vs decent opponents you will end up losing out more due to how hard taking anything beyond a 3rd is.

Starcraft broodwar is really just a game of pure APM. Even at the highest levels - if you have insanely high APM that is actually doing something (not just spamming), you will 9/10 times defeat your opponent who has less APM. Your ability to out micro and consistently keep your macro going efficiently will win the game. Assuming you know the meta for your race this holds true 90% of the time.

I am not a pro or anything, so don't take my word for granted, but I assume the drop and speed upgrades are too expensive early on and later the micromanagement may not be worth it. That said there are probably some niche scenarios in scrappy late games where Zergs should consider this tactic more.

It's really weird to think that Sean has been casting about as long as I've been an EMT. In terms of unit upgrades, why would we NOT want to be committed to certain units or strategies? In terms of psychology, we're much more likely to care about what we're doing if our choices build on each other. If it feels like you're making choices randomly or just reactively, you're probably having less fun.
