As someone who hasn’t played since 2017, the game seems so different now.

Haven't played Hearthstone in ages since I have a strictly better time playing Magic nowadays: it took me like ten minutes of saying "what the hell" to realize they have different art for Silver Hand Recruits nowadays. Wild.

I think the game capture for Hearthstone is only 30fps, but the camera capture for Day9 is 60. I don't know how that's possible

With regards to the discussion of Starcraft II at 51:44, I played through the Wings of Liberty campaign and had a great time. Then I tried multiplayer and immediately discovered that almost everything I had learned in the campaign did not translate to the actual main game. To be clear, I wasn't expecting the wild shit that the campaign gives you, but I was expecting upgrades to be in the same buildings, for the same cost, and tech-tree build orders to at least roughly be in sync with what I had already experienced. They weren't, and I realised exactly how much time I would have to put in to re-learn the game I thought I already had a grasp of, and said no, that's fucking stupid. And I never touched SC2 multiplayer again.

Have DayJ check out reno priest. There is cards that make it so the hero power cost 0 permanently and it refreshes every time you play a card.

The reaction to new cards is great even the changes are funny like flame lance used to be 5 mana deal 8 and now it's 5 mana deal 25, still sees zero play

Reno's existence has killed most other types of control decks Since every class now has access to a card that deletes the opponents board and effectively makes them pass their next turn for 9 mana

Simple answer... blizzard makes one new op thing per season, hoping that you'll drop 100's of dollars to get that new thing. They'll let everyone be miserable for however long... then they'll nerf it into oblivion and release something that is way worse.

When I returned to hearthstone I ran into reno like 5 games in a row and could not believe this card is allowed to exist. It even clears nether portal and that cards strength is that it's nit supposed to be removable.

The Starcraft 2 campaign a 10/10? Really? I am surprised to hear Sean say that considering I thought it really went downhill about halfway through Heart of the Swarm. I am speaking of course of the narrative, maybe Sean just means in terms of mission design and unit compositions. But even if he doesn't, I'm really glad to hear he liked it that much - it always makes me happy when people love things I do not enjoy because it validates my love for things that people like to shit on...we are a species composed of peoples of many different tastes.

This game has become like DOTA. Overpowered cards are balanced because there are so many other overpowered cards to counter them. Like Sean said - it’s terrifying!

My biggest complaint about modern Hearthstone is that now every class does everything all the time, so why even choose a class? In ye olde days, Classes had their identities very clearly defined: Rogue and Hunter couldn't heal themselves, Paladin and Druid had no hard removal or really terrible ones, Minions with exactly 4 attack were Priest's kryptonite, etc. None of that matters now. Every other minion has to be removed the moment it enters plays or they'll generate infinite value, and the other half have rush or some other shit to remove them.

So it's a long time since I've watched any Hearthstone and I'm not so sure this is Hearthstone. This looks more like YuGiOh in disguise.

There was probably a change in some later patch that always puts Helya at the bottom of my deck. Also, mulligan also now puts Farm Hands in my opening hand so I can't quickdraw. =/

The reason why it isn't banned, is that until about a month ago it was hard countered by ANY deck that shuffles stuff into your deck, like plague DK. It made new Reno type card futile to evaluate, because in basically every second game they were deactivated turn 2. For a time before that phase, Steam cleaner could "reactivate" it, but with the new year basically steamcleaner went, but plagues stayed. Making Reno pointless.

Reno decks are just random piles of good cards with little to no synergy

It is kind of fun to think about elderly streamers. I mean no one really knows what will happen given that Sean is basically a foundational personality in the streaming industry.

got 65% winrate on 200 games with this deck and it's clearly my favorite deck :D

I hate this Reno so much i cant stand going against it. It doesnt do anything against aggro because by turn 9 youre either dead or already winning. But it just dumpsters any board centric deck by not only clearing the board of EVERYTHING but also ensuring youll have tempo advantage next turn, with the only counterplay being spells or playing your own Reno. The card singlehandedly convinced me to stop playing again after coming back in festival of legends.
