She may in fact have fjord in her. Fjords often have darker stripes on their legs. They also have the dorsal stripe gene. Also explains the dark in her mane.

i highly recommend one k helmets! i got mine probably 2 years ago and it’s phenomenal. they’re basically a cheaper version of a samshield. you can remove the liner and wash it so it lasts forever and you can get different size liners to make a custom fit.

I love this! 15:50 it is a lead rope for rope halters. It last so much longer than the clips. And the leather are “teeth” so when you lunge a horse you can swing that at them like a boss mare would going and show her teeth to move them😊

Get muck boots!!! Those arctic sport ones, I have them and everyone at my barn for when it rains and during the winter. There incredible boots and if you look online you can find different cuts and COLOURS!! They last for so long and they are definitely worth the price. If you do get them during the winter wear a layer or two of socks but make sure there is still a layer of air between you foot and the boot rubber to keep the heat in. If you don’t have a layer of air your toes will get cold. But besides that the keep my feet and calves so warm! I definitely recommend.

i think storm should also have a bit of a switcheroo too. storms stable is ideal for finn as it has the window and lots of ventilation so you might not need the fan ever again, and gracie and willow will be great facing eachother especially with them going to be living together. edit: i stand by the fact shes a normal palomino, i think her dorsal stripe is a false one but i guess she is maybe also a dunalino because i dont think zerbra legs are something that shows up out of nowhere
@DayByDayVlogs5 жыл бұрын
Storm.gets really hot too. He needs a breeze and window as well.
@melbowell56015 жыл бұрын
Hope the fencing managed to contain Storm this time 😊 Definitely wouldn’t use the pallets as they are for the stall, as you say Laura Willow could easily get a leg caught in them, not sure about her head, but she might try. I’m sure if you can cover them though and make sure no sharp edges, proud nails, screws etc it would work and it would be nice if she could see out along the whole length of her stall too, but even just part of it would be great 👍 You’re camping trip is coming up so soon, how exciting for you all and hopefully you’ve got everything you need now. The hoof sock/boot thing you picked up Laura is to use on an injured/diseased hoof ie abscess and is breathable so can allow treatment without the hoof going soft 😊

I'm was going to stay with buckskin cross because of her dark points and dark colors in mane and tail. But now seeing the stripes on the legs too, I'm thinking maybe a dun cross. Still though, Buckskin carries the same cream dilution gene as the palomino. Tough one. LOL!

I think that she is what we call a mouse dun. A mouse dun is a dun that is slightly lighter than a normal dun. I used to have a horse that had the same color coat, mane and tail with the dorsal stripe. That is what we called him😁

Laura, Muck Boots sells a warm, winter boot with neoprene top that you can ride in as well. They don’t wear down like most boots and they are a great all around barn boot. (I use to have a pair 🥰). Consider getting frp panels to put over the cinder block walls, it would alleviate all the poop staining because they can be easily cleaned, plus with how much Finn rubs his butt on the wall, u wouldn’t have to worry about him damaging his tail hair.
@hettyromiley89645 жыл бұрын
Gracie might have a bit or be Fjord, because the colouring is very very similar. I would recommend Brogini Boots, for any type of boots, like mucking out, riding, etc. LYSM guys!!!! ❤ 😍🐴

@gabideetch5 жыл бұрын
Id say gracie is a dunalino, or a dun. The dorsal stripe with the leg stripes are dun so for sure dun but then you add on the golden mane and it would most likely be a dunalino

In the zoo near me there are wild horses with those zebra stripe legs, and they also have the dorsal stripe and the bit of bayish mane towards the roots. I think she might be part that breed mixed with others

Normally when they have a dark stripe down her back (dorsal stripe) and tiger stripes on their legs they would be considered a dun. So she would be a palomino carrying dun genes
@marblebeanie40575 жыл бұрын
The brown parts could just be from her breed. Idk her breed but her dark accents could be from her breed. So she might not be dun. She also might have the tiniest bit of fjord in her. Because of the dorsal stripe. But I don't think she has dun in her because she has a white mane and dun's have a brown mane. Also horses aren't really two colours expect for paint horses. ❤️❤️❤️
