Is anyone else thinking of all the cool things you could make with all those stepper motors? Love the music though!

man, that was so pretty. I just love the unique sound of stepper motor music. This piece really shows how good the steppers can sound.

Would I be right in thinking that this song showing up ine one of the episodes of WandaVision had something to do with bringing the song to mind again and making you decide to cover it?

Can someone please tell me how someone could start this project?? I’ve wanted to do this for so long but there’s not even a semi-clear way of understanding it out in the open for people to learn

From what I can tell, you need a bunch of identical stepper motors and you drive them at varying frequencies. You can set up each motor as a single channel of audio, so if the song has multiple notes playing at once as a chord, the program drives multiple motors at different frequencies to generate different notes. A specific frequency generates a specific pitch of note, so you need to match that to the note you want. Instructables has a tutorial for it: www.instructables.com/Make-Music-With-Stepper-Motors/
