Nice hike with the usual crew. Always fun to hear the stories and memories. That is why we do what we do! Cool butterfly. Nice CZ on the Spring. Now we are talking! I wonder if the scout's name who did the service project name was John! LOL. Beautiful area and plenty of solitude. My kind of area to avoid the crowds. Have a great day.

Yeah,it's really hard for me to hike through there without thinking back on my life. I was lucky with the butterfly as when Delmar tried to get a up close shot it flew away, lol. I of course thought of you when I was showing the CZ in the spring. Yeah I love the area especially for the solitude. Believe it or not the kid's name was Johnny,LOL! Thanks my friend.

Can’t beat camping with a privy!! Nice to be hiking in peace and quiet, along with those chirping birds! Lol - Great memories - I didn’t ever get to run around in the woods like that when I was younger, fun to do it now! Sounds like great weather- we’ve still got clouds and 50s out here. Have a fun weekend Jim! 👍👍

Yeah,it helps when your campsite pretty much has everything you need when you get to it,lol. My parents weren't exactly ok with me off in the woods at that age but they realized they couldn't stop me so they just worried some but let me do what made me happy. The weather was good for a change and we took full advantage of it. Thanks Jen!

It's so nice you have Delmar and Sir Charles to go along with you. ❤ Very pretty trail and a great overnight camping. 🏕 We're so glad the weather is warm and everything is all green again. And a privy to boot! 😊 We haven't tried Next Mile Meals yet, but want to. Thanks for taking us along! 🥰

Morning Jim, this recreational area looked great, so nice that you all got out together again. Loved the singing birds and running water. Such a peaceful place to hike and your campspot under the trees on day 1 looked great and I always love a campfire 😃Would love to get in a kayak on that Bear Tree Lake. Soo beautiful to look around here with you ~ Anna 👍

Great video, Jim. I was thinking you're lucky to have a friend that likes hiking and camping as much as you do. And Sir Charles makes me smile every time I see him. 🐕👍

Yes,I'm very lucky that Del likes it as much as I do. For many years I had nobody to hike with and although Delmar and I went to high school together we had lost touch for about 30 years until 2009 we reconnected on Facebook and the rest as they say is history. Thanks Daryl!

So wonderful to have a great buddy to get out and enjoy a hike and overnight! Look at that great butterfly enjoying its lunch. Now, did your wife enjoy her honeymoon spot, or did it need to be redeemed sometime in the future!? lol Great looking campsite for sure and always need to keep them cokes cool!! A couple great days...especially when you can get out and enjoy all the peace and quiet that a person needs these days. Enjoy the weekend!

No,the honeymoon was sweet and simple (and cheap, lol) she loved it said it was perfect.I was able to get the up close on the butterfly but when Delmar tried it flew away, lol. The campsite was everything you would want or need as the spring was flowing good and wood was already available and neatly stacked. We had a very peaceful two days. Thanks Bruce!

Those diamond tags for trail markers suck because they break and weather off... The paint marks are better.. They use those diamond ones here and half of them are gone.. Love your trail stories Jim. Never heard of those Next Mile meals.

Yeah,we have a few trails that use the plastic markers and the trails in wilderness area aren't blazed at all. Next Mile Meals are low carb meals and that's why I have to eat them as I'm diabetic. Thanks Max!
