On ep one I thought from the beginning that jax and kaufmo were good friends bc kaufmo is a clown so probably a prankster like jax and jax have kaufmo a nick name and borrowed him his bowling ball. Also gooseworks confirmed that no one in the circus likes jax but kaufmo is gone so he could of liked jax before he abstracted

Come to think of it, after reading this, this makes me realize something; maybe the reason why Jax skipped Kaufmo’s funeral wasn’t because he didn’t like Kaufmo, but rather, because he was so upset that he wasn’t going to ever be able to see Kaufmo ever again that he knew he wouldn’t be able to take Kaufmo’s funeral, knowing it would break him and he wouldn’t be able to recover quickly, so he decided that it would just be best to skip it.

Theory: Jax is always acting "rude" and "snappy" for attention. He doesn't want to be like that. He was most likely really close to Kaufmo before he abstracted. Hopefully we see some character development in later episodes and seasons!

that's incredibly unlikely. goose has said that jax will do something unforgivable later in the show, and has warned us he's a prick from the start. but, hey, nice theory! i'd sleep better at night if this was canon.

Jax is an a-hole but I'm sure he cares about the gang (even if it's by a little bit). However, I still don't think that excuses his actions nor does that mean he'll change for the better. His coping mechanism of suppressing his emotions and his reckless behavior will worsen and worsen until it causes something terrible to happen. Either he'll see this as a waking call to turn his behavior around or it'll end up in his own demise.

If u look closely u see jax is angry and starts to walk of the camera bc jax cared about kaufmo jax hold his tears and then prob he walked away And starting to cry alone bc the rest of the circus never knows that jax is crying Also this whole time jax was not acting kind Bc jax doesnt want attetion(idk if a typo or nah) Bc on ep 1 you see jax had a key which mean jax have been trying to go away From the digital circus with kaufmo but poorly kaufmo has been abstracted ;(

I like to think Jax had some close friendship with Kaufmo because in episode 1, we knew that Jax had a nickname for Kaufmo, which is Kaufy. And he personally being mean and manipulative, (he did it to Gangle). But it because he want to entertain himself so he doesn't get abstracts. We can see he likes to make chaos so he won't be abstracts or insane like others. And he isnt close to anyone (maybe except Kaufmo) because he afraid of seeing them getting abstracts and it will make him more depressed.

no, why i think he's acting so rude is to get the other members thinking abt the circus / abstracting off of their minds. jax truly loves everyone there, thats why he's so rude to them to distract them so they dont have a higher risk of getting abstracted. think about it for a second, without jax, the circus would be at chaos. ykwim?

He is an asshole, and is honestly just plain rude. But he does care. He is my fave, becouse if I was in the circus, I would be the same as him. You cant feel the pain after soemone dies, if you never bonded in the first place. And nobody wants to bond if you are rude. So that is one of the few ways to make people stay away and not get friends. Its lonely, but a good way to protect yourself from pain.
