Yeah it's more about what kind/brand of canned sauce a place uses. I'm sure alot of these places use cheaper sauces to keep cost down. Canned San Marzanos are pricier, but man they are worth it. They make an amazing sauce with little effort.

Go to Pizza Time in Windsor Locks (also in East Hartford and Wethersfield) if you want good pizza. You can basically customize your own pizza there. (even the crust)
