Cello is a the medium sized one that you hold in front of you, played seated. If they're standing, it's bigger, and it's held sort of on one side of you, it's a double bass. Also, with cello there's almost _always_ a bow.

Sting probably has one of the best voices ever. He was and is such a great talent. We don't get too many talented people like him very often. Everything he touches turns to platinum! From what I understand he's a great guy. Loved seeing him with ACDC's Brian Johnson - Brian Johnson had a show where he interviewed stars. They both were very down to Earth people.

Sting is almost childlike in his love for music. This man uses every color when he paints his lyrics and melodies. He is inspired by so many musical genres, and is unafraid to try something new or different. I am willing to bet a million dollars that over his career he has include more musical instruments than any other contemporary artist. I have seen him 5 times in concert and wouldn’t hesitate to see him again. I would love to see him one more time with The Police. If I had to describe his songs the two words I would use would be a complex purity. While his vocals are often buttery smooth, it is the notes surrounding them that bring the emotional gravity to his songs. One song that is often overlooked is I Burn For You. There are two versions, one from his days in The Police, and one when he was solo. My favorite is the solo version, but I suggest you give them both a chance.

Or the sublime cover, by Eva Cassidy! When he heard it, Sting said that the song had found it's 'home'!! 😲
@laminage3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Singer Eva Cassidy did her version and it wa splayed on All My Children when Dixie Cooney Chandler Martin "died". Also it was a Good Luck Charm for Nadine Coyle who sang it when she auditioned to be in Girls Aloud and on November 30th 2002 she was one of Five Girls who made the group.

@@jamespasifull3424 I still prefer Sting's version. Hers is great but i think it gained a lot more hype because she died shortly after. I'd love to see more Sting in reaction videos instead of always seeing covers and features where they don't even recognize the mastermind behind the songs.

Having watched your other comments on several songs it is fun to watch your reactions to so many different musicians and groups. It makes me think that music can be a universal element of our lives and we can grow closer together by just listening to different genres of music and seeing the common elements in the lyrics and also the music itself which is almost impossible to limit in its impact. I like what you do. I say just keep on keeping on. Thanks.

(Many stringed instruments use the same tunings per string. "Playing them" is a matter of technique therefore, learning how to gain the best effects of each one, not necessarily learning new finger-placements. Guitars the weird one because many, many composers and songwriters change strings' tunings which gives the instrument more or less emphasis on certain strings or notes. Most guitars aren't, but just about every guitarist experimented with 'tunings'.)

Local roller skating rink, could be 1982, somebody's birthday, probably a friend's. I have a case, but I'm still there, helping them celebrate. We did the ice cream cups with the flat wooden spoon handles, and now it's on to frosted, creme-filled hexagonal-shaped cupcakes (or similar) snax wrapped in cellophane. The rain comes down. The crime scene that I'm supposed to be at is washed out. No usable evidence. Or so I'm told. It's over. On to the next manila folder.
