Ok but the taco bell socks with the pink contrast are SOOOOO CUTE!!! I was willing you to pick the taco bell yarn with the pink and was so happy when you did. I also love the white ones with the blue contrast just on the cuff, I never thought to do that but it looks super cute, I might have to try. This sock cranking series is so interesting, thanks for making it x

Everyone I know is re-reading 4th wing and iron flame. 😂 Also, if you get another mini without nylon, you could do striped legs. I did a pair for my mom with stripes of 5 rows MC, 5 rows CC, etc. She loved them.

Loving all of these socks! I think my favorite so far was the one with the bright pink accents that you made in this video. Also, how long does it take to crank one sock and/or a pair of socks?

They are my favorite too! And if everything goes correctly, then it takes about 45 minutes to crank one pair.

I finally tried my sock machine for a swatch yesterday after watching your vlogmas. Are the contrast colors hard to add? Probably should get the basics down with one first but your socks are turning out so cute with the surprise minis.

It’s pretty hypnotizing isn’t it! I have not been able to successfully use DK weight yarn, although it works just fine when I need to hold fingering double here and there (like when I’m weaving in my ends on the machine).

If using a sock machine can you still do rib cuff ? How is the fit with the band cuff ? Also your socks look great !

You can do a ribbed cuff with the ribber attachment, but I do a hung hem.

At what point do you decide to unwind your cones? I'm juggling having enough cones and still having decent amounts of yarn leftover ( I can usually get a tall and short pair with extras from 1 skein)

I don’t really have a set system for that, I just go by what I need or what feels right in the moment! Most of the time when I have leftover yarn on the cones, it’s because I was lazy and didn’t make the second pair of socks that I know I can get out of the skein.
