"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it", George Santayana.
We've had some difficult history lessons over the last couple of days, but we wouldn't have missed it.
Thanks to Norbert for so many good recommendations of places to visit in Kraków, and also for meeting up with us on Monday evening.

Thanks for sharing. I would like to visit Auschwitz myself one day - it's an important reminder as to how evil people can be and these places should never be forgotten.

Agreed, Colin It's also a salutary warning against indifference from those not immediately involved.

Ian and Gill, Really enjoyed (if that is the right word) this episode. The use of silence in the camp was very appropriate. The horror is unimaginable, but important to be aware of. ...Rod & Linda.

Thank you, Rod. We also had a walking tour in Warsaw which highlighted the conditions in the biggest Jewish ghetto. As you say, unimaginable. Kind regards to you both.

I would thoroughly recommend it. Interestingly, it apparently gets more visitors than either Krakow or Warsaw
