Yeah, by the end of the hike I was quite familiar with mangy marmots. They’re kinda cute but a bit overly bold at times.

Good to see you back and see more of your hike. I, too, am more of a rock hopper than a log crosser.
@RabidRabbit6 жыл бұрын
The rocks will roll over sometimes but logs frequently risk falls from heights. That said, I only fell from one log and actually it was more of a jump when I lost my balance, luckily avoiding serious injury.

Forester Pass looked skyward So, So scary! And those streams/rivers are equally scary. My hat's off to you for being successful with both.
@RabidRabbit6 жыл бұрын
Yes Karen. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared from time to time. And for the most part I hiked the Sierras solo. There was nobody at Forrester Pass when I crossed. Some of the upcoming videos will include some very difficult crossings including both Evolution and Bear Creeks. There is also footage of some people who weren’t so lucky. I hope it all gets published soon.

When were you there...Must be late to middle summer...hardly any snow compared to the other PCT video's.... Wish me luck, I'm getting a new right hip on Oct.12th. Don't know if I'll be ready for the PCT next year, maybe the year after...
@RabidRabbit6 жыл бұрын
It was late June. A lot of folk went through in May but I didn’t hear any reports that the postholing was fun. There was still quite a bit of snow in some places but definitely manageable. Good luck with your surgery and rehab.

Super J. Be sure to vlog and share. I have sworn off hiking for a while but now I’m starting to think about more adventure.
@jgarza67776 жыл бұрын
The Tahoe Rim Trail is not too bad. That is one you should do. Is the AT on your list of trails to do?
@RabidRabbit6 жыл бұрын
J Garza Pf course the PCT and TRT intersect for a while so I got to some of it. Nothing is on my list right now but I’m slowly starting to think I’ll get out there again at some point. Not far from my home is the Uinta Highline Trail. I’m thinking of organizing a group to do that next year. It’s only about a hundred miles but the average altitude is greater than 10,000 feet.
