Would been good to strategically place explosives from the sawmill to the lone remaining speaker, turn on the generator, waking the horde, hightail it to a safer place, blasting them to chunks and using thrown bombs/molotovs to finish the rest!

I completed the game first run on hard mode and beat this horde in a little under 3 minutes. I waited till night time and I used the choke point that goes into the pit on the east side of the mill going towards the tunnel. Attractors make a great wall of zombies if you line them up correctly you can use the large number of zombies to your advantage. By lining up 3 attractors the horde can't make it by the wall of zombies at the choke, throw molatovs, explosives, rain fire on stragglers and try to keep attractors up at all times so that way the majority of zombies are kept busy, Rinse and repeat and you may eventually have to retreat but by then the zombie horde is significantly smaller in size and can be picked of with your guns while kiting towards the tunnel. Try it out!

Busy with Survival Mode at the moment, I'm not one to really use attractors, I like to try find other ways with the environment and timed or remote bombs :)

nice dude, i took a similar route my first time, playing on survival mode now and getting close to this mission again.. been going for no damage every major horde this time around, its a lot more tense that way, even if theres 10 left, cant ever let your guard down..

Question about Hordes in general, and this one specifically. Do they...uh..."refill" if you don't fully wipe it? Like, can we do this in 5 steps, clearing them little by little, leaving, gathering more supplies, coming back to kill another chunk? Or alternatively, if we leave the area they go back to 400-500? (Which could also be nice, be a way to farm XP I guess).

When I played this game they definitely did not respawn and you could take a few out at a time, but after the updates to the Swarmers I cant say for sure! So I have a few questions for you. First, do the remote mines detonate sequentially (as in the order you put them down)? Second, do you have to have the remote mine equipped to detonate? Third, when do you detonate them? Every time I try it when a decent chunk is near the mine and the front runners always get too close to me before I can equip the mine and detonate. Did you find more success doing it during the day vs night? Also, every time I throw an attractor when I'm hidden the horde always seems to find me. What am I doing wrong? Lastly, where do you recommend parking the bike for saddlebag reloading? Thanks and loved your video and LOVE this fucking game!

Hi there, remote mines should detonate in the order you placed them, but not always. Attractors will reveal your position after you throw them regardless of your cover or hiding spot, silly I know!

Its a pain but you have to drive around and hit everytown and search til you find enough stuff. Also make sure you do a quick save at your bike before you start the mission.

I used the "parkour" method for some hordes and didn't like that it much. Attractors + explosives + both molotovs while hiding was my favourite way! ☻ Was it pussying out?

@@MrReign I can handle the biggest part of them by attractors and the molotovs and napalms I can prepare but then all I have left is guns (and not the heavy ones I see on videos like this). Stamina runs out indeed and in the end the biggest problem us that there are just too many.

What happens if you kill this horde *before* gettin' it as a Story Mission? I just got to Iron Mikes camo and found this horde, and I wanna kill'em now, not wait. *Edit:* So I cleared the horde before ANY other Iron Mike missions. They died, but I didn't get any credit. Later, toward the end of the game when I got this mission, it slipped straight to the end-mission cutscene and proceeded like normal.

I've heard from other videos that it won't give you credit for clearing the horde until after the mission is complete. I hear it's possible but I tried and could not do it. I've got a save file where I'm gonna try it again. Good luck!

I do it differently. I just use my gun without traps and I can do in like in 10min. I just bring some of them to the road and kill them. Some goes back. After I kill the one I brought to the road, I go back and do the same thing.

The system in this game have a limit boundaries for those horde not to get aggresive outside the sawmill, so basically you are cheating, this is sad.
