@@Eternalxrp Well mate, the good news is that the patches carry over to the main Days Gone game, but the rings do not. But the patch perks are extremely good (well, some of them are). Any scores in the challenges that get a Bronze, Silver or Gold score, unlock these patches, and the better the score, the better enhanced the patch is, and as soon as you get that score, the patch perk is immediately applicable to the main game. You don't have to do anything, and you will see that patch appear on Deacon's jacket in the game. The more challenges you take on and do well in, the more advantages you get for the Days Gone game. Boris, I just wanted to thank you for these guides. These challenges are beyond daughting (and tough) for someone like me. Your guides helped me to obtain gold in all the challenges over the last few days. Each one took a bit of practice, but wasn't as bad as I feared going in. Now I just have to do my survival 2 run to get 100 percent in the game.

Just finished this with a gold on my first try. Gotta say man, your videos helped a TON with these challenges. I used the sledgehammer throughout my run, and I noticed some of the heavy's took two hits to kill with it (at least, for me), especially the wave after 68 kills (which I almost died on) I guess the weapon's durability has something to do with it? Cause I used it on every other heavy before that wave. I ended up dying before getting the gold for BRUTALITY, but I got the gold score, so no big deal. Anyway, now that I've got all the gold patches, it's my turn to tackle survival mode. I'll of course check your survival mode videos from time to time to see what strategies to use and what skills to unlock early. (I've got the Digital Deluxe edition, so I have the bonus of having the Monkey Wrench skill already unlocked.) Wish me luck man.

Oh absolutely mate. The biggest piece of advice I can give you, is get your hands on the SMP9 as early as possible, as this early game, is a ridiculous game changer. You need to take out 4 hordes to get this, but it's an easy affair when you know how (I have a video that shows what needs to be done). In fact, keeping ahead of the game is all about taking out the hordes, in order to unlock really good weapons (and these weapons are far superior to the ones you buy at the vendors). Honestly mate, this is the one challenge where you simply have to react to what's going on, as they have completely random patterns on every run. But, you can always lose them briefly if they lose sight of you, which gives you time to set up for your next attack.

It's all about stealth on this one Z04. Be patient as it's one of the few challenges that doesn't have a time bonus, so you can just focus on the job in hand without the pressure of time.

Do you need to get all four sub challenges in one go, to get rep level 3? I’m wondering because I got 72 headshots but golded out on all three of the others. I was gutted, as you can imagine. I know I’m very late to this party, but I will add that I do love your style of presentation: somewhere between sports commentator and government public information video, but with more humour and a lightness of touch that keeps it entertaining as well as informative. Love the granular detail. So, thanks, regardless. These vids have really helped me with certain knotty problems. My gratitude, sir.

Firstly, thank you for the very kind words AR, most appreciated. Now, in regards to this challenge, to get a gold score, you require at least 3 of these subchallenges completed to a gold standard in the same run, and the 75 headshots is the most important. The one I always recommend to leave till the end is the 30 melee kills. But here's another piece of info for you. As you are pushing to get to rep level 3, try one of the other challenges that you have not played yet. The easiest challenge of the lot is probably Reload, so if you ain't taken that one on yet, it will get you up to rep level 3 as the subchallenges and a gold score are not too difficult to get. There is an order to take out all these challenges that makes the job a lot easier, if you want to know my recommended order, check out my Days Gone Challenges Trophy guide videos, as they will help you immensely, hope all this helps mate.

@@borislav247 : Thank you. Yes it does. I didn’t realise the rep level transfers across other challenges. I was looking to get the better rings (the bullets and the joker) and this is the only one I’ve played. I spent a few minutes realising how hopeless I was at the zombie hordes one and figured I needed more than just lots of practice and a patient disposition, when I realised these patches and rings were more than just cosmetic. But I’ve been a bit slow at getting to grips, so every little helps. Very grateful. Thanks for taking the time. And thanks for the entertainment.

@@borislav247 So today I'm attempting the Survive challenge and using your video as reference. It's not gone well so far because (apart from the initial two enemies who are on set paths as long as they don't see me) I cannot seem to hide from, or evade, the attackers. For example, taking loot from a car at the very begining (with another car blocking the view) one of the enemies somehow is alerted and knows where I am! Throwing stones, more often than not attracts the enemies TOWARDS my position rather than luring them away! They will gravitate around my location and either know exactly where I am or throw molotovs in the general area - without having seen me or have any reason to know where I am. I see you're using trees, bushes, and stone structures, to keep them from detecting you in your video, to great effect! For me it has little or no effect. Is this normal? @@lucas_knight Oh mate, I watched the video earlier on, and I feel you're pain. Unfortunately the PC version plays exactly like the Playstation version. Doesn't matter where you hide on this challenge, if you are in 1 spot for any great length of time, they will walk over to you every time. It's a game trait designed to ensure you are constantly put in the firing line with the marauders. I like to use this to my advantage at the beginning where 6 stealth kills are required (as if you're in a bush, make sure you are facing the direction they are walking towards you, and when they are close enough, a screen prompt appears and you can get a nice easy stealth kill). Once I have these, I generally start looking for the marauders. Only time I try to evade is when I'm looking to clear up a section of dead marauders that have collectibles. I'll draw the last marauder to one side of the play area, and when he or she appears, I work my way back to where the goodies are. I will admit Lucas, the mechanics do take a bit of getting used to. But once you let go of the fact you can't avoid them, and start treating the challenge like a slow killing spree, it starts to get enjoyable. As the challenge goes on, the guns and melee weapons do get a lot better, so the action starts to speed up a bit also. Hope your future playthroughts are more enjoyable than the one you recently tried Lucas.

When I was trying to gold this back in the day, I would sit in the bushes on a hill, take a few of them out as they approached, and walk around to melee them from behind. That seemed to me to be the easiest way to gold, but hardly good enough for any top spot.

When I first started playing this, I used to take care of them from the other side of the graveyard, but there was some serious problems that came from this. I just love the area in this video as you always have excellent cover from gunfire, and when the melee comes heavily into play at the end, I like them to know where I am, lol.

If you want that rep level going up, gold scores are good, but also focus on completing each subchallenge to a gold standard. Basically, if you have 6 challenges completed to a gold standard with every subchallenge also gold, you would get the rep level 6 on the 7th challenge (when I was first playing them, that was Infested due to the order they came out in) with a gold score.

It's all about taking out the sub challenges to a gold standard. On this challenge, they are very important. Make sure to take out 6 stealth kills very early, then concentrate on getting 75 headshots. You only require 10 melee kills (bronze level requirement), so don't worry about them until you get the 75 headshots. Do this, then normally the gold will pop when you get 100 marauder kills.

Confused about the sledge hammer. After the 6 stealth kills In The begging, why do you need the hammer if you need 75 head shots?

He's why mate, you also require melee kills at the end of the run, but, the sledgehammer will take out the hardest marauders with 1 hit. I keep the sledgehammer thoughout the run (until I get the fire axe) as it is a very quick way to take out the most problematic marauders that have armour.

I was playing this challenge last night. I was almost to Gold and then it said “Challenge Complete.” Know why that happened?

I do mate, you have 108 marauders in this challenge, and once you have killed them all (your last lot of marauders would have had 2 in full body armour), the challenge then ends. If you didn't get the gold, then you didn't manage to complete the sub challenges to a gold standard. 3 of the 4 sub challenges have to be completed to a gold standard to get the job done on this one. It sucks, as this challenge is the lengthiest of the lot.

You need to complete more challenges and take out more sub challenges within the challenges. All these have rep points rewards. To get to the Founder rank, you need to complete at least 6 to a gold standard with the sub challenges also taken care of to a gold standard.

You most certainly can Amer. When the main menu screen comes up after the game has loaded, look for CHALLENGES (it's normally close to the bottom of the options), once you select that, you will have 12 challenges available to play, including this one.

I would suggest that you get your Days Gone game saves put onto a usb stick or save them on the cloud if you are a PS+ member (if you are a pc user, just paste a copy of your game save to the desktop). Once your game saves are safe, delete the Days Gone from your system, then reinstall it. There's clearly been a problem with the first installation as you should have seen CHALLENGES in the main menu. Try this and let me know how you get on Amer.

There's a great workaround to get a silver score quickly (if you ain't bothered about a gold score). It only requires you to kill 6 marauders. I released a video on this strat very recently.
