Days Gone PS5 - SURROUNDED - A Simplified Run That Gets The Gold Score, EASILY.

There’s a Change petition to get Days Gone 2 made. Currently at 150k signatures. Everyone should sign this. In light of the recent comments made by the games Director, this show of support could be the best chance to get Sony to reverse their decision and green light Days Gone 2. I can’t post the link here unfortunately but encourage every fan to sign it.

Hopefully sony will reconsider. But given that Bend Studio are currently working on a new ip project, it's still likely to be a lot of years before days gone 2 appears. I think the petition is accessable via reddit, but i'll encourage anyone to sign it, as it's what everyone wants.

@@Freakwolfje ah nice man I’d probably say surrounded is hardest but if you get gold on all the other challenges that give you better stats you follow this guide and it makes it easy, tbh I can’t really think of a challenge that gave me too many problems following borislavs guides👌🏼but I’d recommend doing a playthrough, then getting challenges gold then going through new game+, as it splits it up. Yeah I got this 100% a week or 2 ago

This was the toughest challenge for me because it seemed like I'd blink and my multiplier would be gone. It took more tries than any challenge and there was a moment were I was all alone and I was _sprinting_ for something to shoot 🤣 Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Borislav! Fantastic mate. The multiplier on this challenge is not easy at the start purely because of the random spawning of the hordes. You can at times be left with running towards a horde and the multiplier running out just as you finally find them. Delighted you have got them all done Alkis & you're NG+ playthrough will now be a damn sight easier because of all the patch perks you now have. Best of luck with the playthrough mate.

I've never looted that particular corpse @1:38. To be honest, I never even knew it was lootable until learning it just now. It seems all the other ones alert you with a magnifying glass icon when you get close. That's probably why I never bothered to check. Good to know because sometimes the game will give you two health kits from corpses, though it's rare for that to happen. Even if two separate corpses have health kits, the game will almost always delete the remaining kit the moment you pick one up. Though I do recall that a few times (probably due to a bug) I managed to get both.

Believe it or not mate, I actually had a run where I found 4 medkits from the 8 corpses. Made no difference to the end result of the run though, lol. But the majority of the time, I rarely find more than 2.

thank you for the tutorial, this was the hardest gold medal for me so far but I haven't done all the challenges yet so let's see. it took me too many tries to get the timing right and I was struggling with horde spawn, for example in this part 2:23 the horde always spawned northeast (closer to the bus) instead of northwest (farther from the bus) this was probably my biggest setback

Getting 1 billion is gonna be a real challenge. Let alone 2 billion. The top 25 have at least 300 million. You're right about getting familiar with the building interiors. If you don't know where the exit is or a window to jump out of, you're dead.

There is a spot on that same building 01:04 where freaks can't reach you. Climb on the car then jump on it's roof and there go on the right building's top. From that part you are untoucheble. Blow freaks from there. They all gathering next to that building and literally can't do anything to you.

Thanks for the video but sadly to say I think the freaks move much faster now. I don't know if they updated the game to make it harder because I'm playing on PC and in your video the freaks move so much slower than in my game. For example when you put the first distractor down and then kill some and then jump down and run back around to the town hall. You have plenty time to get there. However when I try that I don't even get 1/2 way to the town hall and all of the freaks that where up to top of the stairs are already in front of me. Same when it comes to the bus. I don't even get time to do anything while in full sprint and the freaks catch up. No area. but after watching your video a few times the freaks are definitely moving slower.

That's fair enough mate. I do know that on the PS4, the freakers move slower than what they do on the PS5, but having played very little on the PC, I'm simply not sure. If they move quicker, you may have to make adjustments to accommodate this.

Something happens to me at the very beginning, when I first collect all the objects (I do it as fast as possible) and I am ready to start with the distractor the challenge suddenly stop. Think is bc of too much time without killing any freaker, but don't know

That's exactly what it is mate. The timer is constantly going down, and killing freakers is the only way to keep time going. It basically ensures that you have to constantly engage the hordes. Only 2 ways that this challenge stops, the first is if you die & the second is if you run out of time.

@@rEDiNFMY Ok mate, seen it and I'll explain. If I threw the attractor at the crate, when I hit the crate (and it would have to be quickly given I had little time left), that would take out a few freakers, but would destroy the attractor in the process. By throwing the attractor away from crate, I would get a nice steady stream of freakers approaching the attractor, so I can build up some good time through freaker kills safely. The crate placed where it is in this case is a nightmare, as it limits you're movements around that area. By blowing it up, i have attracted the attention of more freakers to that blast area, and at the same time, made that area easier to navigate. There is method to the madness mate. I didn't explain it fully in the video, but this is why I did what I did.

I finally got the gold. But it was pure luck. There are a lot of dead ends on this map. Just in front of the door downstairs in the building that has the three medkits. Just shoot them as they jump in the window, you can get bronze. Then the room that has the medkit and the attractor. There is only one way in, and finally the building next to the gazebo. Also how come there are no videos on Mad Max? Old game but its fun, it might be too easy thouigh.

Good job with getting the gold GN. The key to the big scores is knowing all the escape routes when the freakers are respawning. Evade getting trapped and keep the action going with gunplay & a gold is assured mate. I've never tackled Mad Max yet because I've already played it on the PC. It's a great game, and I'll maybe play it one day on the PS5, but for now, I'm concentrating on the amazing Days Gone.

You do have to make sure you have the patch perk from the AMBUSH CAMP RUSH in play, in order to make things easier mate. It basically gives extra bullet penetration, and is a must if you want to maintain a good multiplier. And the multiplier is the key to getting this done my friend.

This is either patched or there’s something weird happening in your or my game. Your multiplier stays around for absurdly long and mine almost INSTANTLY disappears. Could be a bug too as this game is absolutely loaded with annoying bugs. The freaks in my game are noticeably faster too. So this method ends up in a mess.

Firstly, this video was done using a PS5. What system are you playing this game on?, as the PS5 version has the freakers coming at you quicker than the PS4, but I'm not sure about the PC versions speed. Now the multiplier is a tough one to keep going on this challenge, and you have to be aware that it's all about the speed of building up the multiplier. You could be at the same location as myself, but if the horde is more spaced out, it will take you longer to get to the same multiplier number, and because it's taken you longer, that multiplier will go much quicker than mine. The very start on working the multiplier is the biggest example of this. I like to have them heavily bunched, so when I start my attack, I'm taking out large numbers very quickly. Also one other thing, it's critically important that you have the patch perk from the Ambush Camp Rush challenge, as it's extra bullet penetration, so when taking on this horde, you get far more kills, and quicker. Hope all this helps.

@@borislav247 Hey thanks for taking the time to reply! Yeah I'm on PC version. I managed to get gold finally last night, but it took me a lot longer as the multiplier almost instantly disappeared every time. I didn't know the speed at which you build up the multiplier matters for how long it stays active. However, I was using the level 3 bullet penetration ring and doing this strategy of bunching and funneling them at that same building. Was getting about a 120X multiplier just like you at about the same rate. See 4:37 - you go quite a long time without making another kill. For me that 120X multiplier went away in about a second or two. Yours remains active for 20 seconds. At least I can say this method helped me manage the hordes and stay alive.

The horde spawning on this challenge is completely random, and another factor is based on where you are in Shermans Camp when the hordes spawn.

The horde spawning locations are completely random mate, but they are always dictated by your current location when the hordes respawn. Just try and make sure you are in the same area as I am at certain points, and you should start to see some spawn points being the same Thane.

Firstly my friend, Mario is bang on with numbers. There are 60 in total that I know of. I've got a png file with a map of every location of ammo on surrounded. @@borislav247 Let me count them once more. If I'm way off again, then I'll take you up on your kind offer. I bring this up now because Mario reached out to me about the current high score. He plans to count all the ammo on the map to figure out what kind of kill ratio is needed to reach 648 million. I'm not sure how plans to pull this off, since the run is a mix of head and body shots. I still like my way best. Look at the difference between our scores and see clear as day that he needed over 1000 headshots @70k per shot to beat my score by 70 million. One ammo box contains 201 bullets. Let's say he getting 2:1 on every shot. In that case he'll need roughly 2.5 ammo boxes of extra ammo to land those 1000 headshots. In reality, nobody gets a 2:1 ratio for more than a few shots or a 100% headshot rate for more than a few shots. So the actual count is considerably more than 2.5 ammo boxes. I don't think it's plausible that I could reach 578 million again AND find myself with a bunch of ammo boxes still laying around AND land 1000+ headshots. I see that your test stream just went live. Good luck with it. I think you'll get a lot more subscribers once everything is up and running and you laugh at how your first stream didn't go as planned.

@@hordeslayer5223 Yes my friend, i'm STILL scratching my head at this score. I'm honestly starting to think that it's possibly been a cheat of some nature employed, namely, save wizard. I say this, as there is another score that has appeared on the days gone challenges out of the blue, on the AMBUSH CAMP RUSH challenge. The score is 73K. That is an impossible score to get on this challenge unless you have discovered a secret bonus, or you have something from this save wizard. I don't know much about this save wizard, but the main Days Gone game was hacked very early with this. There is a save wizard file for the challenges apparently which helps get the challenge trophies easier, but I don't know if it has something that also helps to create fraudulent scores. These are the only 2 scores that are suspect on the current leaderboard. Good if Mario wants to do a deep dive on the Surrounded score, but i'm still going off your calculations for this one. You never know, there might just be a couple of extremely well hidden ammo boxes that virtually no one has found. And thanks for tuning into my test stream for the entire 1 minute I was still streaming. My first official stream now will finally take place, and it can't possibly go any worse than the first attempt, lol.

Hello Borislav, I don't know why but my combo bar doesn't survive as long as yours, it takes 2-3 seconds to vanish. And the horde often doesn't react the same way as in the video, so I don't know how I'm gonna have this x351 combo

Bets advice I can give on this one Junishiro, is watch the number of freakers that I kill at each section. The first lot by the stairs especially is important, as you don't want to kill too many there, or the next horde will spawn early, and likely from the wrong side of sherman's Camp. You always want the next horde spawning after the first grenade has gone off. If this section goes wrong, it makes everything more difficult. Keep at it & i'm sure you'll get there. @@junishirotera5674 The easiest way to take care of this trophy, is by taking care of the Little Bear Lake Horde situated in the Cascade region. 1 Grenade takes care of them quick & will give you this trophy. If you're not sure where it is, just check out my video from the region hordes section. it's shown on part 1 which is every horde in the Cascade region. Hope this helps Junishiro.

It's all about keeping the kill rate high mate. Every freaker you kill adds time onto the timer. It's not easy. You do need to practice on this one

You can rack up 1000 kills and still not get gold mate. You need to get 300+ kills on the multiplier to get a gold. It's all about the multiplier. If you keep losing that, it will take a long time to get the gold score.

It's no easy task mate. The first 700 to 800 on the multiplier is tough to maintain because you don't have huge amounts of freakers to work with. Once they start spawning 6 waves at a time though, that's when you can start to work on a solid multiplier. It's a brutally tough task as you have no indication from the multiplier bar as to how strong the multiplier is. If they had done it like Black Fridays, would have been much better.

I agree. It's one of the things I like so much about this challenge. Ambush Camp Rush is also very rng with the complete randomness of everything, once it all kicks off.

It's all about keeping the pressure on the horde constantly GN. The first 700 on the multiplier is the hardest to maintain, but once the 6 hordes constantly start spawning, it get's a lot easier as you constantly have the larger numbers, so you are rarely struggling with low numbers of freakers.

@@borislav247 one more question, have you ever tried starting surrounded by going to the top of building just to left of the gazebo and getting the 50 cal, then seeing if you can make it? I bet you could, me it pretty much a tanker.

@@giganoob1968 Can't say that I have GN, but I always keep the 50 cal for the end game section. Nice idea to use it early, but it's too slow firing to be of any use with the multiplier.

Me being the contrarian that I would raid their channel and explain what they are doing wrong, provided I had the knowledge of the game that you have. But I am sure you much too gallant to do something like that. Totally love your channel recommend it to others and consult it all the time. You are top drawer all the way (old time expression).

I feel the pain here mate. The endless horde challenges are the toughest of the lot, and there spawning patterns don't go the same way every time. What I show here is where they usually spawn given my location at certain points.
