DAYS GONE | Taking Down College Horde

This is actually only my 2nd or 3rd time taking down a full blown horde in this game. Hordes can actually be really difficult to deal with if you dont have the right weapons/equipment, and a good environment around you to use to your advantage.

I like that is long no flex man really what fucks it up isnt how long it is its the pace there ARE EXTREMELY BORING PARTS and then parts where you get hyped but those good moments feel so far and in between but when you get to them it can really start to immerse you man

The reason so many ppl hate is because the early stages of the game were created by drunk employers. Like for real holy shit the first hour in the game was so bad. Everything early was soooo freaking bad. Later its gets better and so much more fun.

I was near the fence, right in front of where one of the nests used to be. I threw a distractor towards an explosive to try and draw them near. Or so I thought that was what I was going to do, I actually overshot and it went outside the fence. The horde all chased it outside and did like three laps around the entire football field. Gave me enough time to look for the MP3 player before they came back in and I had to engage them. It was pretty funny watching them run around and around, I wonder if they were chasing a panther or something. Miraculously that was the time I beat this horde, the time before it a reacher showed up and killed me.

Focused Shot, Thorn in Your Side, and Thief in the Night are among the best skills to target early. The Ranged and Survival skill trees both have some very nice skills you can get early in the game. Nocked Up is a Tier 3 Ranged skill you can't get right away (minimum 5 points into the Ranged tree; minimum 6 points for both crossbow perks), but Thorn in Your Side plus Nocked Up will give you a very strong, ammo efficient, and silent special weapon with the crossbow relatively early (should be in your locker as soon as you get to one). If you like to use a stealthy approach, those two crossbow perks combined are awesome. I'd put the Melee tree off early on because the Tier 1 Melee skills aren't that important at the beginning of the game. I'd target Ranged then Survival (but put 3 points in early to get Thorn in Your Side and Thief in the Night) then Melee.

I got a couple of issues with this game The way they structured the missions and progress in this game is so wierd man. You have multiple storylines but they don't really relate to each other, sometimes if you do a mission for somebody it turns out to be part of the main quest which just throws me off. The pacing of this game is slowwwww af and you do not get good rewards for completing some missions. I think I've unlocked 5 fucking skins for my bike by now lmao when I really couldve used a crafting recipe or a damn weapon. The initial story and characters are pretty much forgettable, deacon acts like an a-hole for the first half of the game which drags on. After a while it gets significantly better and it made me wonder why the hell they didn't make the 3rd camp the starting area.

The game is really good not the best but way far from actually being bad, played for about 10 hours so far and only experienced little bugs and glitches, nothing really for me to say yo this junk is trash or anything like that, sure the AI could use some work and etc, few patches and the game will become even better, story pacing is really weird at this game but once you get used to it then it becomes fun, from a developer like Bend studios I didn't expect much but they made me really happy with the final results, hoping we get a sequel in the future, not really worth the 60 bones at the current state but 40$ definitely, game got potential.

The game is pretty buggy and has some glitches. But the main issue at least for me is the voice acting, story and character development. The first 10 hours were tough as everything seems mediocre and uninteresting. After that the game gets marginally better but I can see why a lot of reviewers gave it a 6 or 7. I personally like the gameplay a bit and have gotten far in the story so I'm looking to finish it soon.
