Your hedge is a good example of the types of things we just got rid of in our yard makeover. We are both in our early 70’s and we came to realize that if we were going to be able to remain independent and not have to depend on others we needed to make our yard and house as maintenance free as possible! I have a raised bed garden still but most of the edge of our yard is river rock now. It’s beautiful and no care at all!

It is relaxing watching you doing house work but at the same time I know how this chores can be daunting. Thanks for the ideas on cooking and also remaining us to take a brake and brake down all chores during the week. I do also feed hummibirds and I mix 1/4 of white sugar per 1 cup of boiling water and stir very well but not actually boiling the water and sugar on the stove since this will be a syrup. I hope I explained well. The sugar mixture with color is not recommended .

Miss Randi, do you have any idea how and when I should prune my rose of Sharon? I planted it in my front yard about five or six years ago, but it is so tall and overgrown and I don’t have any idea how to clean it up. How do you make your hummingbird food? Boil water or just dissolve in water and where did you purchase the feeders? Like the big cylinder to hold lots of food!

I use a 3:1 water:sugar ratio. Sugar needs hot water to dissolve. It’s better to boil the water first, then add sugar to dissolve. You don’t need to add any color to the nectar. Here’s the link for the feeder geni.us/Hmbrfd

Hi Randi! I love the shrubs that you have growing around the gate in your yard…it’s so pretty! It must be so nice to watch all of the hummingbirds through your window! Can I ask you how you wash your microfiber cloths? I’ve been reading online how to do it, but I’m getting conflicting answers… some say wash in warm water because hot water ruins the fiber but then again some say to use hot water because of germs. Also, do you separate your microfiber cloths before washing… I was wondering if you wash them all together or do you separate the ones you use in the kitchen from the ones you use in the bathrooms? Hi Janel! It's so confusing! Microfiber is designed to rinse out the germs with water. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wash the microfiber clothes in warm water with mild detergent. No fabric softener. It's better to wash them separately because they collect lint in the wash. I don't have enough for a full load, so I use garment bags to keep them separate from the rest of the laundry. I always use a low heat setting on the dryer. Have a great week! 🌸💕🥰

I just watched your channel for the first time, and enjoyed your video. I wanted to mention that you absolutely DO NOT need to put red food coloring in your hummingbird water. Some dyes can be detrimental to the little guys, and they will be attracted to t he red on the feeder, anyway. I have LOTS of experience with hummingbirds! Thank you again. Great motivational video.

Removing air and moisture from lettuce leaves keeps them fresher longer. Remove the air and add a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. but they loose nutrients, so it’s better to consume them as soon as possible.

Hi Maryann! Very simple to make the nectar. Mix two parts boiling water and one part sugar and dissolve the sugar in boiling water. 🌸💕🥰

Hola amiga me a encantado tu vídeo y como siempre súper limpio lo tienes todo ,las casa es lo que tienes y más cuando tienes jardín si no se limpia fuera hay que hacerlo dentro .Tu tienes suerte que tiene secadora yo no tengo para poder secar la ropa , la tengo que tender fuera .Yo decirte que ya bien de vacaciones y me ha dado pena , después de que me pintara la casa en tera me an decorado los cabecero la entrada , chimenea me a quedado todo precioso y te he puesto veneciana estores pasar un trapo y listo .Y ahora tengo que limpiar mi piso como ha estado mi hijo solo tengo que ponerlo todo en orden y limpiar .Espero que estéis bien y disfrutando del fin de semana .Yo tengo una alergia impresionante me a cojido el oído y lo tengo entaponado , se pasa faltal y con tos muy fuerte , a ver qué me dice mi médico un saludo muy gordo mucha legria de saber de ti 😘😘💞💞💞

¡Hola Mari! 🤗 el exterior da más trabajo, pero es una extensión de casa y nos gusta pasar tiempo allí. Mi abuela siempre colgaba la ropa para que se secara y optó por no comprar una secadora. Dijo que el sol era lo mejor. Me encanta tener persianas. Dejan entrar la luz y evitan los ojos. 😂 Muy fácil de limpiar, también. Espero que te recuperes pronto y que no sea nada grave. ¡Tome un poco de sol para aumentar sus niveles de vitamina D! ¡Descansa y cuídate! 💕🌸🥰
