Just as a reminder, that when something says 1 tsp or 1 Tbsp, it is referring to a LEVEL spoon, which needs to be done with the flat side of a knife. You put in a heaping spoon of mayonnaise at about twice the calorie count. This pertains to all kinds of foods. Same with any measurement - it is always leveled. Just trying to be helpful, from one who has done many diets. Best to you.

I commend you! Cutting out processed foods, sugar and colas and juice is key. I just took a diabetic nutrition class 4 months ago and it was eye opening. I've lost 20 lbs and learned a lot about healthy carbs that your body actually needs as fuel. I even have an occasional dessert and then get right back on track. I also had joined a 12 step program called overeaters anonymous (OA) to help me deal with my food compulsion a couple of years ago and for me it's been a life saver. The camaraderie within the group is amazing and there's a community of people who understand that are willing to support me. I could not deal with my food addiction without understanding what got me to that point in the first place. But after a heart attack and 4 stents I knew it was now or never. Keep learning and never give up. You are worth it. ❤

There are definitely improvements that can be made to your diet. But what you have displayed in this video is WAY better than what you were eating to get up to 400 lbs. Switching from a diet based on ultra processed foods to a whole foods does not happen overnight. Great progress so far - keep going and keep learning about the stuff you're putting in your body@

I find that eating low sugar fruits like berries helps to not crave sweets and eggs for breakfast helps not to feel hungry quickly

Ditch the “ protein coffee” for real coffee even with 2tbs of cream and one tbs of turbinato sugar is only like 40-45 calories compared to 160 calories in that coffee. You’re doing great , just be LABEL SMART.

Consistency is key Katie!! Eating healthy at home meals allows you to control what goes into your food. There are so many great recipes and whole food cooks on Instagram and other social media. Doing some gentle movements including stretching, yoga and tai chi (videos on KZbin), can help move toxins out of your body and prepare you for those fantastic hikes you and Jose have started going on! Get those stretches in throughout the day when doing housework and cooking!!! That’s what I do!! I am so rooting for you Katie!!! Love seeing this video made when you have alone time to relax and focus on yourself!!! ❤❤❤

If u up your protein as much as you can cravings for junk food will disappear after about a month or two it crushed my cravings willpower is not needed lost about 50 pounds and kept most of it for two years since upping my exercising I find a bit increase in carbs but it takes only a serve or two to satisfied me

Get the large bag of organic kale at Aldi’s, remove stems, add olive oil, pink Himalayan salt and whatever spice you want on top, massage in and distribute kale with enough space on large baking sheet. Put in 350 degree oven for 10 or more minutes. You can check half way through and flip. Tastes so good and crunchy like potato chips only much healthier!! 🥬 ❤

Katie... eat once a day, lots of good food... all you want..... then STOP !!! you will find you will never be hungry and never full.... you will be keeping your insulin (the fat storage hormone down... every time you eat, insulin pumps out... so if you are eating anything, the fat storage hormone stores fat...... quit all the different concoctions and the calory counting.... you will never lose weight or never keep it off.... I have been doing this for 15 years now... and sustain the same weight... lots of energy.... get up at 4 am ... work for 8 hours.... look after home... I am a truck driver and am 74 years old.... female....

Have you tried the Snickers - date hack? I haven't but I am curious. Aso, do you have experience with excessive hunger? I know my diet doesn't help, but it has occurred since the introduction of a new medication. I fast and then kind of binge and repeat. I admire you for having a much better diet than myself, for your persistence, and for taking care of yourself x
