Daysailer Eagle 44 Ginger USA

This stunning Eagle 44 was delivered to the USA. In the video it is sailing on the beautiful waters of the Long Island Sound. We want to thank the American Yacht Club for their warm welcome and mostly we want to thank the owner of this beautiful Eagle named Ginger.
The Eagle 44 is a classic looking daysailer but don't be fooled, with push button controls and a modern keel and rudder, the Eagle 44 is very modern below the surface. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and build by Leonardo Yachts The Netherlands.

Leonardo de Vinci would be embarrassed to sail that way. The faster sailboat design is consistently keeled ahead of the sails instead of beneath the boom. LWR keel line stem to stern allows the sailboat to sail upright and faster. Ballast keel and blade or wing keel and blade keeled head sail would be more functional and upright.

A French keel might be more effective for that rigging.
