A few years ago I’m sure I saw an Eagle in the harbour of Terschelling, one of the Dutch Islands. It was by far the most beautifull sailing boat of the harbour.

The best thing in the world is people who know how to navigate, the rest is stories

God I hate to be snarky at such a beautiful boat (!), but you used the work "navigate"...you're not navigating anywhere but the flat, calm harbor they're sailing in on this boat. No life lines?! Yes great day sailor, but you're not "navigating" anywhere but to the yacht club in this baby.
@lungarotta2 ай бұрын
@@davidkennedy7549 all old classical boats didn't have life lines, and they "navigated" quite well crossing oceans. I don't know about this one but consider that 80% of the sailing boats are used usually as a day sailor...
@yzScottАй бұрын
@@lungarotta It would swamp immediately offshore, in real weather. She a day-sailor. A glorious day-sailor, but still not fit for crossing oceans. What's more, Leonardo Yachts describes the Eagle line as day-sailors. As an off-shore yacht owner, it is obvious what their mission was, and they completely nailed it. It was crossing lakes and harbors, not open water.

@@yzScott I was aswering davidkennedy's comment about the lack of lifelines, which does not mean that a boat is necessarily a daysailor. Actually the majority of old classic blue water boats in the last century didn't have lifelines. Of course this one is a daysailor, but as I have remarked, 80 % or even more of sailing boats, even bigger ones, for most of the time are used as daysailors. There is nothing wrong about this as david seemed to imply, it's simply one sailing habit preferred by a large majority of people and that means there is a market for this kind of boats. About crossing oceans, it's the sailor not the boat the most important factor. The Atlantic for instance has been crossed by a variety of small and even ridiculous boats which I wouldn't sail even in a small lake. P.S. About she being swamped, well all small boats are in big seas, yet her cockpit is small so the amount of water filling it should not be very much and I'm sure the draining system will eliminate it a reasonable time.

Beautiful yacht, beautiful sail and beautiful boat handling, you made it look very enjoyable and very easy. Maybe break it down into 3 parts, prepping the yacht and leaving the marina up to the point of being ready to raise the sails, then the sailing, then the return to port dropping the sails and docking. This would allow more detail of each part to be shown and maybe have fixed camera positions to ease the viewing?
