It's my family tradition to go see a movie on Christmas day, and it's super fun! I also worked at a movie theater for 2 years, and Christmas was by far our busiest day! The holidays are a great time to see movies, this year me and my family saw Spiderverse and Vice, both of which were phenomenal! Always great to see you ladies, wishing you a good new year

We started going to the movies on Christmas day about 7 years ago. It's just myself, my husband and our 2 girls. We see a movie and go out to dinner afterwards. This year we saw Ralph Breaks the Internet and we really liked it.

The incredibles was the only superhero movie I'd seen until I went to spiderverse and uhhhh it was amazing!! The animation is fantastic and you don't need more than a passing familiarity with spiderman to enjoy it! I'm sure there are references I missed, but I really had such a good time :0

Almost everyone I know has been sick this Christmas, I hope we are all just getting it out of the way to not be haunted by illness again soon~ Also, can't recommend Fate Core enough for a math-light very customizable tabletop system. Dunno if math-light is what you are going for in leaning away from DnD, but it seems to be a relief for a lot of people and certainly was for me. My wife has homebrewed about 3 games in it so far and it has been a great past 3 years of tabletopping~ (yep, that's what it is now)

I agree with you gals 100%-- Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best superhero movies of all time, and it's a great (and more importantly DIFFERENT-looking) animated feature. So, so good. Also there's a surprising amount of fanfiction on AO3 already, and some of it is super good!

Hotel Transylvania had storyboards done by Rebecca Sugar, creator of Steven Universe. That might be why it's pretty. Also, doing the deed with Peter Parker is actually dangerous. In one comic, Mary Jane gets cancer after intercourse with Peter because of his radioactive...juices. :/ isn't that awful? Just had to share those things!
