Just a note. Do not feed solder into the iron. Solder will follow the heat on what you're soldering. That's how it crawls into gaps and voids. Flux helps this. Should have put glue on the caps or you may get a vibration on those. Electrolytic caps are also polarized.

Good Advice Thomas! I hope she chooses the BR-1 kit. Doesn't seem to be a lot of videos on that one.

As an electrician I will say this. When you are stripping wire make sure you use the right gauge slot on your strippers and strip straight away. You don't want ANY strands missing or damaged. It won't hurt much on a speaker wire compared to real world electrical installations, but it definitely degrades the wire and terminations. One you lose a couple strands you may as start derating your wire.

In the manual it states to put L1 .40mh inductee on its side does it really make a difference because I see you didn’t mount it that way

The manual mentions a lot of modifications that would be needed to make Br1 as accurate as they could. Is it worth try to modify these, or upgrade to a more expensive kit?

Well, I have more time than money, and like building and modding. Would it be worth even ditching the pre made kits and trying to make a scratch build? I want as accurate a speaker as i can, with the lowest cost.

The site lists these as monitors. Are they accurate enough to be accual monitots, or is it just marketing?
