The playoff points are correct - you earn points for where you finish in the standings. Logano won regular season title, that's 15 + 10 for his 2 wins etc. You were outside of the top 10 in points, so you didn't get any extra

You were a lap down cause the game can’t register that the entire field crossed the start/finish besides you, so you were on a different lap making you a lap down.

They have more playoff points likely because of their regular season points finish. You get points for it as long as you finish in the top 10.

Now, a thought: if the AI has some connection points with the AI in rFactor 2 (as I believe is the case), perhaps it's beneficial to let a long practice happen and let qualifying actually take place (on rFactor 2 you can speed up the process with CTL X). When this is done, grids are more logic and the AI behaves better during races. On the other hand, jumping into "quick race" more often than not generates messy races.

I think this game has issues deciding where the cars actually end. So when you bump draft, your front bumper is going inside of the lead car, then the game ejects it. So it registers as alot harder hit than what actually happened. (Similar to the gate glitch and swingset glitch in GTA). And that's why you're getting shaky cam. The one time you had a good race with bump drafting was the one time the car models didn't glitch and the game actually knew where the cars were

The playoff grid is like that because of the playoff points from the regular season, logano won the regular season championship so he gets an extra 15, I think second gets 10, 3rd gets 8, then it continues down to 10th place getting 1

Another bug is the AI ignore the caution flag under caution at 2 mile tracks and Superspeedways. That causes you to go a lap down.

I think I understand what's going on with the pack separation and other AI strength issues and inaccuracies. Essentially they have not assigned all the AI their own strengths and traits. Instead it appears that they have done the AI in "tiers" so you're having groups of cars/drivers that are exactly the same as the others in that group on track. Meanwhile, for the front runners, they probably have less drag assigned to them allowing them to be faster and spread out from eachother more Essentially think about if you used NRatings to do your NR2003 Season AI.... but you were lazy so you just batch-edited the AI in groups. I think that's what Motorsports Games has done with the AI tuning. The differences in how the pack works from race to race is probably to do with whether or not the preset ranges just happen to RNG closer together or not. As someone who has 25 years of experience modifying racing game AI..... this pisses me off. It's the absolute laziest of the lazy way to do it. Inevitably though the pack is always going to get spread out in the front, using this method, unless you get an extremely lucky range RNG (assuming they are even tuned properly enough to even be within range of the RNG of the other "tiers") Appears to be more a problem of how AI is programmed than it is how the AI respond to the game's physics, in this regard. That being said the AI clearly do not follow the same physics as the player, with is a major problem in upon itself. It is also obvious that the cars are way lighter in the game than they should be, and/or that downforce is lacking or that the effect of downforce is improperly designed.... considering how little it takes to flip over.
