Woah, you sure made good work of this with the Hornet; I think the Phantom might be harder to control because of how sensitive it is to start drifting and yet it takes a lot to make it drift without losing too much speed. The Hornet in Manual can be definitely a great old friend to drive with if you are used to Daytona 1 strats since it is virtually the same handling. By the way, I wonder if you can confirm if Mitsuyoshi's vocals are still present in this version with the holding start before the Start your Engines screen?

Phantom driver here. Ordered it yesterday. I wonder how difficult this is gonna be on controller with the phantom😂. Remember from arcade you need precise steering when going max speed drifts, easily spins out. Hornet is easy. I'm in the top 20 on ps3 rankings on all courses, being one of the only 2 controller users on ps3 top 20 (rest of top 20 all in friends list, all steering wheel). Can't wait to tame the phantom.

Mitsuyoshi's vocals aren’t in this port for the same reason as the game was renamed to SEGA Racing Classic 2: Expired licensing. Which is a little odd since the only song he performed that has the name "Daytona" in its lyrics was Battle on the Edge (the intro song).

I remember finally finding this in an arcade wayyy back in the day, and being overwhelmed at how bad it was compared to Daytona 1.

Bruh it's not bad it was a great sequel to the original and I played that game before on the arcade
