The entire OST is catchy, but the opening theme is an absolute earworm. Once you hear it, you'll never forget it.

While the past couple of decades might not have done any favors for the graphics, time hasn't touched Daytona USA's classic game play. I adored this game as a kid, and I still do.

As a kid, I was disappointed that the home port (I had the PC version, which was a straight port of the Saturn version) looked so much worse than the arcade version. I played it until the Championship Circuit Edition came out, and I played THAT until the M2 emulator came out.

The feels!! My babysitters daughter had a saturn and this was the only game she had for it, I never got a saturn as I ended up with an N64 with the atomic purple controller, but I have always cherished the times I had playing this as an 8 year old that only owned a genesis at the time.

Damn to this day Daytona is one of the best Arcade game when playing with 8 other friends of yours :D it was a blast at when me and my buddies was waiting for our turn and all 8 of us start racing :D Never the less, I was shit at this game, but everyone just deliberately crash into each other
@digdugnate7 жыл бұрын
dude, that is some straight-up wicked playing. I sucked at this game in the arcade AND the Saturn when i was a teen, lol. I think in contrast the graphics look really slick still if you take into consideration when it was made :)

Its my belief that this port single handed knocked SEGA out of the home console market. People who were undecided saw this and bought a Playstation and SEGA was never able to recover.

It’s really funny when they yell at you to take it easy on the car even though you are driving a horse. This is one of the best driving games right next to outrun, hard driven, virtua racing it should have gotten more sequals and one where there was a career mode with you as a storyline and you could also race in space.
@yojoeski Жыл бұрын
There was one color car that you could brush against the wall in the last turn and only lose like 5-10 mph off your speed. It was in both the arcade and Saturn versions of the game but I can't remember which it was. My friends never knew this trick so when we raced each other in the arcades, I always made sure to get that car and thus, never lost.
@gomifunecx996 жыл бұрын
I'm kinda suprised this version of Daytona USA includes playable Horses (there are other versions of the game that also have Horses) after beating all 3 tracks, i know that horses can't go over 180 - 200 mph but it may sound hilarious when playing as one, good one.
