Agree It's only the Level 2 you have to pay for, which is $2.99 per month I like the Sim and it works well - though unfortunately if you use TradingView along with Webull, that wont let you paper trade premarket or after market. If you just use Webull though you can use the Sim in all phases. It's just important for everyone to remember emotions are much different between paper and real, and so don't jump in to real with large share size (like I did) and lose a bunch of money (like i did). Take small share size for a month or so until you're feeling good about real wins and loses before doing aything over 10 shares. Just IMO.

I have a cash account with Webull and happy with it. Nice speed executions with a good price. Use limit orders but if I do use market it's filled in the spread. Currently not using big size so no issues at all.

29:00 I have been simulating with TOS for 1 year - I use a modified TRG w/ bracket template and then move the stop and limit order sliders around on the chart as the price action unfolds. This way if the stock keeps moving up I can drag the stop up on the chart to lock in profits while still having potential to make more with upper limit order.

I think I know what happened with your webull orders, since you were only partially filled and when you went to sell, webull interpreted that as you trying to sell more shares than you own instead of selling 100% your position or you still had an open buy order and webull won't let you sell percentages of your shares unless all open orders are closed. This happened to me when I was messing around with trailing stop-losses/ stop-loss take-profit orders when I was first starting out.

I think a market replay feature is more important than a simulator. A replay lets you practice much faster and try many more strategies than a simulator.

Hi Chuck, you need to add NBBO quotes (under the level 2 quotes widget go to settings then look for NBBO. You’ll have to subscribe to the data. It’s $9.99 per month.

I would have to agree with you Ross, the Webull Sim is slow. I've been using the sim for several months now and become use to the lag of the sim. But what surprised me is how much faster the trades went with an actual real money account. I haven't switch to a real account yet but I may have to consider switching.

TOS during extended hours does NOT work well. During regular hours, it works well enough. During Ext hours, Futures like ES or NQ (or MES, MNQ) works fine but that is because future don't truely have "Extended hours" The futures market is just open. TOS sim definitely has issues. Slow fills, Orders that fill after you have canceled them. Stop and/or target orders that disappear. The replay mode is really glitchy with execution and drawing the candles, which is too bad since it would be great for back testing strategies. I can't comment on the other platforms since I have never used them.

I'm actually using it tracking my scan picks during the day, based on my strategy, and then I'll paper trade them on the sim the following days: do you think it's a good approach?
