@bartsross create a scan... Stock, Market cap $M max at 20M Stock, Last, set your min and max Study, Volume_Change, Volume at least 10% greater than 30 bars ago. Set the study for a 5 minute chart. If you do this scan a half hour before market open, you'll get everything in your desired stock price range for the last two and a half hours. If you want the scan look at the previous day's volume, set the chart timeframe to one hour. Hope this helps and happy trading?

@@sloht4061 Not too bad, thanks for asking! Just like Ross says, I'm only able to take one or two trades a day. And like you say, win or lose on any trade is a good learning experience. I'm up from $583.15 to $637.23. My biggest fault is a very common one, not cutting my losses sooner. Which is hard to do when you only have one or two trades, then you're done for the day.

You can switch from a margin to a cash account once per week, use the cash account as normal, and switch back to a margin account for one day the following week after 5 trading days from the last margin trade. It's a bit tedious switching back and forth, but it does increase the amount of trades that you can make in a week with a small account.

Today was my 2nd day of paper trading 12/31 I was 5 for 6. The one loss was only 9.60. I made 24.00 Today I researched the highest gainers. I focused on NITO ( 1k shares) after about 13 minutes I was in after 2nd pullback. Got about 30-40 cents. I had to exit soon, I was at work, plus battery on phone dying. Usually I trade at home. I still made $391 P/L in a matter of minutes. So far I am 6 for 7. Thanks Ross. I've been watching and absorbing the information. 1 stock at a time from now on to focus.

i love that cash funds settle overnight. I think when I started a few years ago it was 2 - 3 days before cash was settled. This is such a win for traders who do not yet meet PDT balance of $25k

I've become very experienced in trading and this month has been a huge boom for me. Spent the good part of 6 months getting burned and hating myself, and almost giving up. I ended up putting what was left into a dividend stock and sitting on it for a few months before getting back into things. I left $100 for trading, and after 2 weeks I turned that $100 in $250, and decided to give it a try again. I sold off the stock and lost $20 on it. But now I had more money to play with. Within a week I turned that $600 into $1100. I was very disciplined when I was trading with $100, and any positive trade was considered a win. Now that I'm playing with alot more money it's a little harder to stay disciplined because you want to see it go up another 2 cents but I'm still able to walk away and call it even if I give up some profit. Something I wasn't doing before. But can't really complain about only making $100 on a trade when it "could" have been more. I've maybe left about $600 on the table by walking away early, but My Wallets not complaining. I 100% would never use margin for trading, that just sounds like one of the worst concepts ever. It works when it works, but it's like taking out a loan and hoping it works. And if you enter at a bad spot right before a dip now your in debt. Instead of losing you know $50 or something it's now $50 plus interest.

Hey Ross! You can be able to set offset for orders by going at the template in the order entry window. Also I find it really hard many times getting filled on TOS by selling at the bid, but selling at the ask it seems even harder and sometimes impossible . I ended up on red with my trades many times trying to sell at the ask on TOS. Thank you for this new challenge!

I've been doing a dual 10 trade sample of your strategy: one for pre-market trades and another post-market open on TOS. I've also noticed my orders not being filled during pre-market trading, and it happens a lot. So far its looking I do better after the market open and I think its heavily impacted by that.

I love this channel. I just came across this small account challenge and will begin to apply from Monday. I have a day job which makes any trading very challenging. He is exactly right... start now, and after several years of daily chart and headline reading, making trades and evaluating your emotional and psychological positions, you will have learned so much that (with proper education and guidance and effort) you will have become a consistently accurate and profitable trader. The key is simply to begin. Find someone you trust to help inform you, branch out and never stop learning. It's there for the taking, just be honest with yourself that it will take some effort. It's worth it.

I am using TOS as well, but I was able to PAD the account with $25k that I don't touch... The money that I trade with started out with an additional $4k on top of that so I can avoid the Pattern trading rule. Although I could use my buying power leverage, I don't with this account.
