Ok. First things first. I don't do drugs. I've been listening to Boards of Canada for the past 15-20 years now. They are my go to music. Dayvan Cowboy is their favourite song of mine. For what feels like ten years I've been manually typing "BOARDS OF CANADA COVER" into KZbin search a couple of times a year and enjoying the content people put out there. I've caught some of your earlier BoC-covers and enjoyed them a lot. Imagine my utter shock when I saw "Dayvan Cowboy - A Boards of Canada-Cover by LiarConfess" in the results. "This... this can't be right." I'm not gonna lie and say that I cried listening to it, cause that's not what I do. I'm not gonna say I enjoyed it more than the original either. But I did LOVE it however, and I grinned the entire way through. Boards of Canada is my high, and you gave me a fix.

It's pretty amazing that with electronic instruments and sampling two guys can make music that would have previously required a large band of classic instruments. The fact that these guys can create such complex arrangements puts them on par with classical composers.

I know you put a lot of effort in this but I don't think this is one of your better ones. The first part seemed to be a mash of sounds not really distinctive. In the second part the violin was weak. Maybe not the right song to use.
